Have you calculated the carbs in that expensive food being delivered to your house i.e. farmer dog, ollie, nomnom, just for dogs, etc.??? All of the above brands have OVER 30% carbohydrates, almost as much as kibble. So if you fell for the slick ads by the above brands, you're basically feeding lightly cooked kibble and paying way too much! A healthy real food diet for pets should NOT contain more than 10-15% naturally occurring carbs from fruit & veggies and should NOT contain rice, beans, potato's, peas, macaroni, noodles, or any other form of a carbohydrate. Perfect ratio is an 80.10.10, that's 80% meat, 10% bone, and 10% organ meat, with some fruits & veggies. Cooked meals are better than kibble, but not as healthy as a raw diet, cooking denatures the food lowering the nutritional value for our pets.
