Bubbles took her job of Quality Control very seriously. When we lost her and Nala last summer (only 36 days apart) I didn't bake for a bit. It hurt being in the kitchen without them at my feet. It hurt when I made the last treat messy, but didn't have a dog to give it to. It hurt to know that I started baking treats for and because of them, but they weren't here anymore.
After over a year, Willow came into our lives. Originally, she was a foster, but very quickly, we decided she was home. This is the first time I've baked since we got her and it was a little emotional. She supervised and triple checked the peanut butter before baking. She got the "messy" treat and approved.
She doesn't know about her predecessor, but I think she's going to do a pretty great job taking on the role š¤
