Nine Boys. One Camp. Countless Lessons.
Reins-N-Hands Youth Deer & Hog Hunt
They came ready for adventure nine boys stepping into wide-open country for a weekend that would shape them from the inside out.
Two Texas Game Wardens stopped by to talk about firearm safety, conservation, and respect for wildlife. Because good men don’t just take life they steward it.
A couple of mules grazed nearby steady and unhurried a living reminder that patience and partnership matter as much in the field as they do in life.
By weekend’s end, the boys harvested 11 deer and 1 hog, but the real harvest wasn’t meat in a cooler… it was confidence in their hearts.
Around the fire, stories were told, prayers were lifted, and laughter echoed across the hills. Watching the creative football activities to the dirty socks no one wanted to claim…
They came as boys…leaving as young men learning that responsibility and respect are part of the same heartbeat.
And behind it all… were the mentors.
Men who didn’t come for recognition but because someone once showed up for them.
They rose before daylight and stayed up long after dark to talk about life.
They taught safety and patience, but they also modeled something deeper: what manhood looks like when it’s steady, humble, and strong.
They didn’t just guide a hunt.
They guided hearts.
Because real legacy isn’t built by taking it’s built by giving yourself away.
And its best said: “We didn’t just fill freezers this weekend we filled hearts.”
Reins-N-Hands,
• Awakening purpose.
• Restoring confidence.
• Building lives that last one campfire at a time.
