The Treadmill allows the horse to be semi submerged in water while carrying out a cardio and muscular work out. The weight of the horse is minimised allowing the horse to move more freely. It allows controlled/ non-concussive supervised exercise. This allows exercise that still works extensively on the cardiovascular system whilst continuing to work on building and repairing strong tendon, ligaments and increasing muscle tone. It will increase cardiovascular activity, stride length, muscle tone and strength. It reduces the loading on painful or healing structures including, pain in joints with degenerative joint disease, muscle spasm, joint stiffness, and development of muscle atrophy.
