Meet Kahn, a 4-month-old German Shepherd puppy who came to see us for some sneezing. Don’t worry—our team made sure this handsome little guy got the care he needed (and plenty of love along the way 💕).

🐾 Story Time: Oreo’s Close Call 🐾

Sweet Oreo came to Vida Vet after her family noticed she was struggling to swallow and was regurgitating. X-rays revealed the shocking culprit — a sewing needle lodged in her mouth! 🪡😱

Sewing needle cases can be incredibly dangerous, with risks of damaging major vessels, puncturing the trachea, or even injuring the eye. But thanks to the quick thinking of Dr. Sprayberry (with Dr. Sorensen assisting), we discovered the best case scenario — the needle was stuck in her palate, not penetrating vital structures.

Under sedation, the needle (with a bit of blue thread still attached!) was carefully removed with minimal trauma. Oreo woke up safe, sound, and as cute as ever. 💕

We’re so relieved this crafty kitty’s tale had a happy ending — and sending her home with lots of love (and a reminder to all pet parents: keep those sewing supplies safely tucked away!). 🧵✨

Sweet little Goku (just 15 weeks old!) was seen by Dr. Sorensen for an injury to his left forelimb. X-rays showed he has two tiny metacarpal fractures 💔🐾 but with lots of love, strict rest, and pain meds, we’re hopeful he’ll heal without needing a splint!

Thankfully, Goku had Technician Hannah and Assistant Haley by his side for snuggles and support—and as you can see, he soaked up every ounce of TLC 💕

Sweet Brownie was seen after injuring his right front leg 💔🐾

X-rays revealed a fracture in both his radius and ulna...ouch! Thankfully, our team was able to get him comfortable and stabilized with a splint under sedation. 🩺✨ Dr. Sorensen and Technician Hannah made sure he was well taken care of every step of the way — and gave him plenty of love, too! 💕

We’re hopeful that rest, healing time, and his splint (that might be bigger than him 😂) will do the trick 🤞 but we’ll be monitoring closely to see if surgery may be needed later on.

Keep healing, Brownie! 🐶💙 You’ve got a whole team rooting for you!

We’re experiencing all the “emoji-tions” over these one-week-old kittens (and their Mama!) 😻😭😍 Just ask Technician Jess — she nearly cried with excitement, and yes, the evidence is in the picture 🐾📸

These tiny toe beans have totally stolen our hearts, and we’re not mad about it. 💕
