“First thing, we have had training sessions in the past with box store trainings at store locations, that actually teach very little and end up being a waste of time and energy for both me and my dog. A few minutes into the session with Dana and I knew that wasn’t the case for her. Dana went above and beyond to help our adult dog with her numerous issues. Honestly I already suspected a main issue would be our lack of training and allowing our dog to “run the show”. It was true. We had not shown our dog the proper hierarchy and that we were in fact the pack leaders. Dana had information backed by her extensive knowledge, hands on experience, and education that showed step by step - how to - with any age dog. She also provided us with multiple videos for reference and a guide on everything we discussed plus a very informative first aid for pets guide. The time spent with her was well worth the money but then add in the additional educational materials she offered and it is a serious deal. Dana with One Smart Pooch leads by example with her own dog Sky that attended the training to show examples. All lessons are given with positive reinforcement and never anything negative. It focuses on the actual psychology as well as body language that makes understanding your dogs easy for all. This is a person/business I will gladly support all of my days. I’m so grateful it was virtual and offers flexible hours/days that worked around my disabilities and schedule easily. Dana is also very relatable and professional. So grateful Rover has her available or I would have wasted weeks and numerous sessions with someone else trying to teach a portion of what I learned in one lesson with Dana and Sky.
