Update on Ariya

I have not spoken to the vet yet but did pick up a copy of the blood analysis

White blood cell count is elevated, proteins are high, cholesterol is low, no parasites were seen, eosinophils are off the chart.

What does this mean 🤷🏼‍♀️, I’m no vet or Dr so all I can do is google the level of each line item, the wbc count and proteins are my concern, high could mean a whole host of issues from a simple infection to cancer.

Of course, I’m praying for the infection and inflammation which could be a simple fix with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds.

Hopefully I can connect with the vet Monday for a game plan.

Got Ariya to the vet today as a precautionary measure since losing her brothers last week, she was a trooper, she got a little testy when everyone came at her for a blood draw but was soothed quickly. Once the draw was done we walked around to meet everyone and make friends again.

On a funny note, which I didn’t video because I was confused and a little embarrassed. The last photo is of the wall in the exam area, Ariya saw that, stalked up to it ready to pounce, when her nose hit the wall she realized they weren’t real 🙄 I have requested that all subsequent visit be done in the dog room 😆

Unfortunately Pyke joined Puck at the bridge to heaven last night. Pyke loved neck hugs and muzzle kisses and thats what he left with. I’m heartbroken with the loss of the brothers but find comfort in praying that they met up again.

They are either mourning or are mad at me, I put them out in the largest area this morning and for 8 hours they laid in front of an unused building, that building is just to the left of where Puck was, no one EVER goes over there let alone for a length of time. I took out treats, they wouldn’t take them, I put 2 balls in with them no one played, they just laid there. So I’ve made some more stew to hopefully make them happy, for a minute anyway.

Sadly, out of nowhere Puck passed away, he simply went into his building laid down and never woke up. An absolutely sweet boy (with me anyway), hated for me to hug his neck or kiss his muzzle but got so excited when I would let him go and tell him I was sorry for trying.

I’m thankful for Joan @ Pets Forever for dropping everything and driving an hour to take care of me and Puck.

Today 1 of the 3 loves of my life turned 8, we started the celebration with tracheas for breakfast and will end the day with chicken veggie soup for dinner. Annnnd she doesn’t have to babysit the foster puppy today, now that’s a celebration.😉
