Pet Food Drive at Sept. 21 Golf Tournament

Even if you're not playing golf in the tournament, please drop off your donations of pet food. Susy Zinn from the SVE Foundation will be at Hole #1 to collect your donations. Monthly Dog Club Meetings Resume

Our monthly dog club meetings will resume Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2-4 p.m. in the Rosewood Room. Our speakers will be two representatives from AZHARTT, Inc. (Humane Animal Rescue and Trapping Team). This group is a volunteer-based Arizona nonprofit organization that humanely captures lost family pets, homeless dogs, and homeless cats who are severely injured. Typically, these animals cannot easily be leashed, picked up or captured through ordinary means. Bringing these animals to safety often requires extraordinary patience, specialized strategy, skill and equipment. At our meeting, we’ll also talk about upcoming events/projects such as the Halloween party and Farmers Markets.

Save the dates for our other meetings this season: Wednesdays, Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4 and April 1.

Dog Park

With the installation of the sunshade and water fountain in June, Phase 2 of the dog park has been completed and the official "Dog Park Construction Committee" has been retired. The Dog Club is working with the HOA manager and Four Peaks Landscaping to develop a plan to improve the grass in the dog park this Fall and Spring. The basin was aerated in July and overseeding is expected to start in mid-October when it’s cooler.

2025-26 Farmers Markets

The Village Rovers Dog Club is partnering with the SVE HOA to present the third season of Farmers Markets at SVE. Save the dates of Wednesdays, Dec. 17, Jan. 14, Feb. 18 and March 18 for the Markets, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SVE Dog Park Update: The sunshade is in!
SVE residents can now use the dog park again. Just avoid the upper landing until the plumbing project is completed - Thanks
Drinking fountain/hose bib project -
The City of Mesa is scheduled to install the water meter in the next couple of days. After this, the plumber can connect the water fountain to city water. Please avoid the top landing until this project is completed.
Turf Conditions - Watering the dog park grass has re-started after the shade structure installation. The Village Rovers club is working with the HOA and the landscape company to develop and implement a plan to improve the grass but please be patient!
Currently, the sprinklers start at 7pm, and go for 45 minutes per zone (we have 4 zones in our basin). Some dogs love running through the sprinklers to cool off! There are benches where you can sit while the sprinklers are running if you and your dog don’t want to get wet.
