Village Rovers was formed in Sunland Village East in Mesa to enhance the enjoyment of dog ownership.

Fertilizer Application at the Dog Park Scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27
Four Peaks is scheduled to apply fertilizer at the dog park on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 27 at about 8 a.m., followed by watering. For the safety of our dogs, the dog park will be closed until 5 p.m. that day. Thanks for your patience with the work being done to improve the dog park grass!

W**d Spraying Scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, July 22-23

Four Peaks is scheduled to spray for w**ds at the dog park on the morning of July 22. For the safety of our dogs, the dog park will be closed that day and the next day, Friday. July 23 Please make other plans for your dog during these two days. Thanks for your patience with the work being done to improve the dog park grass.

Four Peaks is scheduled to spray for w**ds at the dog park on the morning of July 2. For the safety of our dogs, the dog park will be closed that day and the next day, Friday. July 3. Please make other plans for your dog during these two days.

When You Leave the Dog Park

Each time you leave the dog park, please make sure you dispose of your dog’s p**p and turn off the water if you used the hose. 1) Turn off at the back of the monument wall, 2) release the pressure in the hose, then 3) turn off the hose inside the small dog area.

Please return toys used to the toy boxes on the fences. This is especially important on Tuesday evenings because Four Peaks mows the grass on Wednesdays. It takes a village to maintain our dog park and everyone’s help is appreciated!

Irrigation schedule will be fixed soon. We are watering only at 9 p.m at this time so sprinklers were not supposed to run this morning. Sorry for the soggy, muddy park today!

Thanks to our hard-working dog club volunteers this morning--Jim, Mike, Paul, Judi, Jo-Ann and Laurie--we installed our outdoor display board with memorial plaque on it plus removed multiple bags full of puncture vine from the dog park! You’re Invited to a W**d Party

Actually, it’s a w**d-pulling party at the dog park on the morning of Saturday, June 13. Dog club volunteers will be at the park starting at 5:30 a.m. when it’s cooler to pull puncture vine w**ds. Bring your dog and pull a few w**ds while you’re there.

Irrigation Upgrade Scheduled for June 16

Four Peaks will be working on needed updates to our irrigation lines at the dog park on Tuesday, June 16. Both sides of the dog park will be closed while this work is being done.

Please Replace Divots

If your dog digs a hole at the dog park or you come across a hole, please take a minute to fill the spot with dirt. There are buckets of dirt and trowels available on both sides of the dog park.

No Dog Treats at the Dog Park
Reminder: Please don’t bring dog treats or food to the dog park. Competition over food can lead to fights between the dogs plus some dogs are on strict diets and can’t eat certain foods.
Display Board to be Installed Soon
Our outdoor display board should be installed at the dog park later this week. One side will be a bulletin board for announcements while the other side will be for our plaque with engraved plates in memory of or in honor of dogs or dog lovers. Fifteen plates have been purchased so far—59 still available. Proceeds from the sale of plates go to the dog club for the ongoing maintenance costs of the dog park. Thanks to all of the Dog club volunteers who helped with placing Bermuda seed and mulch in the bare spots at the dog park, and the hand watering we did for three weeks!

When you’re at the dog park, if you’re able, please take a few minutes to pull any puncture vine w**ds that are still present in our turf. It takes a village of volunteers to maintain a dog park!

Both sides of the dog park (small/timid and large/active) will re-open tomorrow morning, Thursday, June 4, after 6:30 a.m. The current watering sequence
will start at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. for about 45 minutes so please avoid those times.
We are still working on w**d control There are puncture
vines on the east side of the large/active dog area along the softball fence so
try to use the western side that has fewer of these w**ds.
