🐶 Slumber Puppies! 💤

Have you ever wanted to have a sleepover with a puppy? Good news! We have a program called Slumber Puppies where you can do just that! Slumber Puppies is a program aimed at giving our youngest pups extra care overnight, while they become ready for adoption. Just pick the puppy up in the evening and bring it back the next morning. To get started, visit our website and sign up to be a volunteer! 💤🐶❤️

Some of our Slumber Puppies participants have said:

"I love doing puppy sleepovers because I feel like it’s a way I can give back! I have four dogs and a cat so my house is pretty full and unfortunately most older dogs would not fit well in a house as busy as ours as far as fostering goes. Puppies seem to thrive with all my dogs and it also helps me give the shelter info about their personalities to pass onto potential adopters."

"I love fostering and when I can’t make a long term commitment it gives me the opportunity to bring a pup home. Puppies are new little lives that can be affected in such a positive way by getting them out of the shelter and into a home to decompress so they can have a better interaction during their meet and greets. Slumber puppies are great for my dogs too."

💔 Left Paralyzed from Abuse, This Brave Dog Needs Someone to Love Him 🐾

Coffee Bean started life as a normal puppy... until abuse left him partially paralyzed. He came to us at only 5 months old, having endured a tragic start. He suffered severe spinal trauma at the hands of his owner, resulting in partial paralysis of his hind legs and incontinence. That owner has since been found guilty of animal cruelty. 💔

Despite facing such tragedy, Coffee Bean hasn't stopped loving life. He's amazing with kids of all ages, loves big dogs, and is a total cuddlebug. He plays, goes on car rides, and loves toys. 🐶

He wears a diaper indoors and does need some extra care, but he's worth it. He has been undergoing physical therapy, and while he may never regain the ability to walk, he has adapted well. With the help of a custom doggie wheelchair, he is able to move with more confidence. 🐕

Coffee Bean is searching for his perfect home. A shelter is not the place for a dog with his unique needs. Could you be the one to give him his happily ever after? With his unique features and scruffy look, Forester might remind you of a certain classic vampire (Nosferatu, anyone?). But don't let his looks fool you, this boy doesn't want to haunt your dreams. He just wants to cuddle. ❤️

Forester is a sweet and gentle soul who's been through a lot. He survived on his own as a stray and is FIV positive. He may look a little rough for now, but he just needs some TLC! He gets along with other cats and thrives on affection. 🐈‍⬛🐾

Pangolin, now Tucker, is thriving in his forever home! His family says he is smart and doing wonderfully with house training. He's learning commands and how to play with the kids! His family even did a DNA test and are excited to see what breeds make up all of his cuteness. 🐶

We recently rescued a large group of cats and kittens from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Many are suffering from upper respiratory infections and urgently need medical attention, nourishment, and loving care. 🐱

Thanks to our amazing HERO Team, cats like Chops get the second chance they deserve.

Chops was first found as a tiny kitten on someone's porch. He was part of a group of cats owned by someone overwhelmed and unable to keep up with spaying and neutering. Our HERO Team has been working with them to provide support and care.

When Chops started losing weight, he was brought to the shelter, where he was diagnosed with FIV. FIV is not scary, and cats can live happy, healthy lives despite it. Chops is the sweetest guy and his favorite spot is his window bed! He is currently in foster and he is happy to finally have a home to be in. He would love to find his forever home!

💔 Dogs That Have Been in the Shelter the Longest 💔

🐾 Cole: 215 days. This sweet senior was originally adopted from us as a puppy in 2016 and lived in that home for 8 years before he ended up back in the shelter. He's 10 years old, enjoys long walks outside, loves to cuddle, and is the perfect gentle giant. He deserves to spend his senior years in a loving home.

🐾 Asher: 251 days. This adorable pup came to us when he was only 4 months old. Now he is all grown up and still waiting. He's 1 year old, LOVES to be outside and play with other dogs, enjoys toys, will entertain himself, and would do great in a home with a big back yard. It's time for him to experience life in a home.

🐾 Sunny: 255 days. This giant sweetheart came to us after his owner passed away suddenly, and he lost the only home he's ever known. He's 2 years old, likes both cuddles and activity, enjoys collecting toys, and loves walks. He deserves a home with someone that will give him endless love.

🐾 Benny: 13 months. We don't know why this poor doggo has been here so long. He's 6 years old, loves car rides, has lived in an apartment, is great on walks, and does well with other large dogs. No dog should have to spend a year in the shelter. It's time for him to finally get his forever home.
