During this time, we are closed if you're missing a dog, please reach out to Iola Animal Control at 620-365-4903. The dogs they pick up will not be coming out here but going to the local vet clinic for boarding until either claimed or we open back up. In order for you to claim your dog you will have to call the Animal Control. The number again is 620-365-4903.

We know the public has a lot of questions recently mostly about us being full all the time. You can always call the shelter at 620-496-3647 and talk to the Director Brittni and she will answer any questions people may have. We can also do a few posts answering questions if you'd like. If we do a few posts, what kind of questions would you like to see answered besides our capacity? Just a warning please no being rude or disrespectful.

We have been informed that a dog was possibly dumped this morning on Kentucky St close to the hospital and took off down Miller Rd in Iola Ks. It appeared to be a small Jack Russell type dog with a blue harness. If seen or caught please call the Iola Animal Control at 620-365-4903.

This older white bully was found 4/16/25. He's a very sweet boy according to the finder. Loves kids and doesn't bother the flock birds. If you know who this baby belongs to please call the wonderful finder watching after him 620-212-5779.
