One of the best things about foster care is learning who an animal really is outside the shelter, and Haly's foster mom has discovered that this sweet girl absolutely lights up when she knows she's loved.

Haly is smart, resilient, adventurous, and ready to find a quieter home where she can continue building confidence and showing off her goofy personality.

Last call for goat yoga! 🐐

If you've been thinking about signing up, this is your reminder that Yoga with Goats is happening tonight at MHHS.

Join us for a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga session where the goats have absolutely no interest in proper yoga form, but plenty of interest in making new friends. Expect stretching, smiles, and a healthy dose of goat-related distractions.

🕕 Sessions at 6 PM & 7 PM
💲 $40 per person

Every registration helps support the animals in our care. 🐾

Join us Monday, June 1 for Yoga with Goats at MHHS! This gentle, beginner-friendly yoga class features some very enthusiastic goat assistants who may wander between mats, investigate participants, and provide plenty of laughs along the way.

Sloane heard there’s a basket of dog treats in the Benson's Pet Center Gala for Animals online auction and would like to respectfully suggest that her future family go ahead and place a bid. 🐾

You don’t need a gala ticket to participate! The online auction is open to everyone and features dozens of great items from local businesses, experiences, gift certificates, art, jewelry, pet goodies, and more. Best of all, you can bid right from your phone while relaxing like Sloane.

Sloane is a 3-year-old sweetheart currently living in a foster home, where she’s been showing just how wonderful life can be outside the shelter. If you happen to win some treats, she may be willing to help you taste-test them after you adopt her. 💙

This Thankful Thursday, we’re celebrating Aviva, who chose to help the animals for her 11th birthday! 💙

Aviva recently stopped by the shelter with a whole bundle of goodies for the animals in our care. Donations like these help keep tails wagging, purrs rumbling, and bowls full for the many animals who rely on our community’s kindness.

Thankful Thursday is all about the people who help make MHHS a brighter place for humans and animals alike, and today we’re celebrating Amanda Ray of Honeycomb Cleaning Services. 💙

Amanda handles all of the non-animal space cleaning throughout the shelter, from hallways and offices to lobbies and community spaces, she does it all with endless kindness, positivity, and patience. Shelter life can be unpredictable, messy, and chaotic at times, but Amanda takes it all in stride, usually with a smile and a treat pouch ready for any dog who wants to say hello.

One of her biggest fans is Lewis, who may be a shy guy, but happily trots right over to greet his buddy Amanda whenever she’s here.

Amanda, thank you for keeping our spaces shining, for treating every human and animal with kindness, and for bringing a little sunshine with you wherever you go! ☀️

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just here for the goat antics, this is a fun way to relax, laugh, and support animals in need at the same time. Every $40 ticket helps support MHHS’s lifesaving programs for the animals in our care.

The Benson's Pet Center Gala for Animals online auction is LIVE now at GalaForAnimals.com and you can browse and bid from your couch, your comfy chair, or your favorite hidey bed. The auction closes Saturday, 5/30 at 10 PM.

We’ve got everything from local dining and entertainment packages to jewelry, pet goodies, sports tickets, handcrafted items, family fun, fitness classes, and more. Every bid helps support the animals at MHHS. 🐾

As for Harold (4) and Mickel (5)? These bonded best buds fully support a relaxing evening of online bidding.
