🎃 Hello, Clarice... 👻

Clarice isn't quite sure why everyone keeps saying hello to her in such a spooky voice. She's never seen The Silence of the Lambs, and frankly, we think it might be a little too scary for her. 😂

This 5-year-old sweetheart is much more interested in squeaky toys than scary movies! Her idea of a thriller is wondering when the next belly rub is coming. ❤️

Clarice loves showing off her toys, flopping into laps for snuggles, and getting smooshed for cuddles. Add a few snacks and some good skritches, and you've got yourself one very happy, wiggly girl!

Her one request? She'd like to be your only pet. But with this much love (and this many wiggles), she's got plenty of affection to go around!

👻 The only frightening thing about Clarice? How quickly she'll steal your heart.

Come meet Clarice at MHHS! 🐾

🎃 Wee. G and Cobweb are here to put a spell on you! 🕸️🔮

These two little pumpkin inspectors are looking for their purr-fect forever homes, and we think they're simply gourd-geous! 🧡

At just 2 months old, Wee G. and Cobweb (Cob to his friends!) are a couple of sweet little boos who might be a bit shy at first, but don't let that spook you, they've got plenty of cuddles to give! 👻

No tricks here, just two adorable little treats waiting to be scooped up!

🎃 Come meet Wee G. and Cob at MHHS and see if one of these sweet boys is your new familiar! 🧡

🗳️❤️ Burbank is hitting the campaign trail, and he wants to meet YOU! 🐾

After more than THREE YEARS of waiting for his forever family, our longest-stay dog is ready to win some hearts this Election Day!

Burbank is a smart, affectionate, goofy guy who loves sniffari walks, car rides, stuffies, and a good belly rub. He's housetrained, knows his manners, and has been working hard with his amazing foster mom, who also happens to be a dog trainer!

Because Burbank lives in a foster home, you won't usually find him greeting visitors at the shelter. But this Election Day, he's making a special appearance, and we'd love for you to meet him! ❤️

🗳️ ELECTION DAY MEET & GREET WITH BURBANK!
📅 Tuesday, November 3
⏰ 5:30 – 7 PM
📍 MHHS - 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY

Come meet Burbank and his foster mom, ask questions, and find out firsthand why this overlooked boy has such a devoted fan club!

🐶 Burbank is looking for a home where he can be the one and only pet.

💙 His adoption fee is sponsored through our Hidden Gems program, PLUS his adopter will receive SIX MONTHS of FREE food and toys courtesy of Benson's Pet Center!

💌 Can't make it? Email [email protected] to arrange a private meet and greet anytime.

Three years is a long time to wait for love. Maybe all Burbank needs is a chance to meet YOU. ❤️

🎃🐾 Keep the scares for the humans this Halloween! 👻

Halloween is full of tricks, treats, and spooky surprises, but some of the holiday fun can be downright frightening (or dangerous) for our furry friends. Here are a few tips to help keep your dogs and cats safe this Halloween!

🍫 Keep candy out of paw's reach! Chocolate and sugar-free candies containing xylitol can be toxic to pets. Keep the candy bowl and trick-or-treat bags safely tucked away.

🚪 Beware of escape artists! With trick-or-treaters coming and going, doors may be opening more than usual. Keep pets safely secured away from exits and make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date!

👻 Give them a break from the fun and frights! Costumes, doorbells, and unfamiliar visitors can be stressful for pets. Set up a quiet, cozy space where they can relax away from the excitement.

🧙 Costumes aren't for everyone! If your pet enjoys dressing up, choose a comfortable costume that doesn't restrict movement, breathing, or vision. If they'd rather go au naturel, that's perfect too!

🕯️ Watch out for spooky decorations! Keep lit candles, electrical cords, glow sticks, and decorations out of reach of curious paws and mouths.

🐈‍⬛ Keep cats indoors! Halloween night can be especially busy and unpredictable. Keeping cats safely inside helps protect them from traffic, loud noises, and other hazards.

Whether your pet is a spooky superstar or would rather sleep through the festivities, a little preparation can help everyone enjoy a safe and happy Howl-o-ween! 🎃💙

🗳️❤️🤍💙 This Election Day, we're rooting for BURBANK! 🐾

He's a man of the people, a champion of belly rubs, and a firm believer in the right to unlimited butt scratches. And after more than THREE YEARS of waiting for a family, we think it's time for Burbank to win in a landslide! ❤️

Burbank is our longest-stay dog, but he's been making the most of his time in foster care. With the love and dedication of his wonderful foster mom, who also happens to be an incredible dog trainer, he's learned so much and is ready to put his best paw forward!

Here's what you can expect from a Burbank administration:
❤️ A smart, affectionate companion who loves his people
💙 A housetrained gentleman who enjoys car rides and sniffari walks
❤️ An enthusiastic supporter of stuffies, belly rubs, and butt scratches
💙 A lovable goofball with a signature frog-legged sploot!

Burbank is looking for a home where he can be the one and only pet and soak up all the love. He can get a little carried away with his zoomies when excited, so a home without young children would be best.

And his campaign comes with some pretty great perks! As a Hidden Gem, Burbank's adoption fee is waived thanks to our generous donors, and thanks to Benson's Pet Center, his adopter will receive SIX MONTHS of FREE food and toys!

🗳️ ELECTION DAY MEET & GREET WITH BURBANK!
📅 Tuesday, November 3
⏰ 5:30 – 7 PM
🐾 Come meet Burbank and his foster mom, learn more about this special boy, and see if he's got your vote!

📩 Can't make it on Election Day? No problem! You can arrange a private meet and greet with Burbank anytime by emailing [email protected]. You're also welcome to reach out to schedule a visit during our special Election Day event.

After more than three years of waiting, Burbank isn't asking for much. Just one person (or family) to believe in him and give him the home he deserves.

❤️🤍💙 Vote Burbank. A loyal companion for life! 🐾

❤️‍🩹 Maeve is only weeks old, and she is already fighting for her life.

This fragile girl was abandoned at a local veterinary hospital with a severe cleft palate. The severity of this birth defect makes something as simple as eating extremely dangerous.

Maeve currently cannot eat on her own. Food or fluid could enter her lungs, and this could be life-threatening.

But sweet Maeve has a team fighting for her future, and we are asking you to join us. 💙

Now that Maeve is safe in our care at MHHS, she requires round-the-clock attention and careful tube feeding to survive. If she makes it through these critical early weeks, she will still need months of care before she is old enough, and healthy enough, to undergo the specialized, costly surgery she needs to repair her palate.

Meanwhile, our Humane Law Enforcement investigators are working toward an arrest of the individual who abandoned her.

We can’t promise Maeve a happy ending. But with your help, we can give her every possible chance at one.

Please consider donating today. Your generosity will help provide the specialized medical treatment, daily care, and resources Maeve needs, while supporting our work for the many other vulnerable animals who depend on us. 🐾

💛 Help us fight for Maeve. Donate here: mohawkhumane.org/maeve-s

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
