Blues City Animal Rescue Blues City Animal Rescue is a foster-based dog rescue organization located in Memphis, TN, serving the Midsouth, Midwest, and New England.

Our mission is to help foster, nurture and care for unwanted dogs and puppies until they can find their chance at a new, wonderful life. Blues City Rescue is a not-for-profit rescue program whose primary purpose is to relocate dogs and puppies from the rural south to the Midwest and New England, where overpopulation is not as dire. Our goal is to help clear crowded shelters in the south, help dogs

who have been dumped, dogs with medical emergencies…if a dog needs help in any way we do our best to get them the care they need. The goal is to place as many dogs and puppies in new homes where they will have the most wonderful lives and become part of a new family. Blues City Rescue is entirely volunteer based. All of our adoptable animals are in foster homes until they find their perfect adopter. All dogs come from various backgrounds – abuse, neglect, homeless, injured, unwanted, unloved, scared, alone – but they are all given the necessary love and attention they need while they wait to find their fur-ever homes. Blues City Rescue transports and travels to the Midwest all the way to New England via RescueVet transport several times per month to transport our adopted animals to their new homes.

Ellie, Ella, Jazzy, and Alfie have become some of our longest-term fosters, and we truly can’t understand why. They’re thriving in their foster homes, great with other dogs, wonderful with kids, and ready to bring so much love and joy to a family of their own.

Now all they need is someone to give them a chance.

Jazzy is an approximately 2-year-old Kelpie/Spitz mix weighing around 35 pounds—the perfect medium size for adventures and couch cuddles alike. Unlike the high-energy reputation of some Kelpies, Jazzy is a laid-back girl who loves to lounge and relax with her people.

She walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys spending time with her family, and has wonderful house manners. Jazzy is great with kids and is currently living happily with other dogs in her foster home.

His foster mom says when her little boy gets upset or starts crying, Alfie immediately plops himself right on top of him like a furry weighted blanket. ❤️ She truly believes he’d be the perfect companion for a child.
