If you are looking for a best friend who is equal parts fun and affectionate, meet Toby! Toby is a 3-year-old Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix who is the ultimate "whole package." He has a playful, energetic spirit that will keep you smiling, but he’s also a world-class cuddler who just wants a spot on the couch next to you.

Toby came to us as a surrender because he found it difficult to adjust to life with very small children (ages 3 and 5). While that environment wasn't the right fit for him, it doesn't mean he isn't the perfect fit for your forever home! He is a tiny guy who simply needs a space where he can feel relaxed and secure.

🧡🐾 Happy Tails: Apollo — You Made Us Work for It! 🐾🧡

Apollo’s journey wasn’t easy — but wow, was it worth it.

Apollo came to us as a severe neglect case, leaving the shelter weighing under 60 lbs. Today, he’s a healthy, thriving 100 lbs of strength, confidence, and character. His transformation is nothing short of incredible.

Apollo received a lot of attention along the way — and for good reason. Given his background and his size, we knew we had to get it right. We were incredibly fortunate to have one of the most fabulous, structured fosters under the sun, who stood by him through some of his toughest chapters, providing stability, patience, and unwavering commitment.

We are also deeply grateful to The Champion Farm, who helped fine-tune Apollo’s confidence and gave him the tools he needed to continue moving forward.

And then came the perfect match.

Apollo’s new home adores him, understands his past, and is fully devoted to giving him the life he deserves. Best of all? They’re runners, and Apollo gets to tag along — a loyal companion with a big presence making sure no one messes with the pack.

He’s friendly, goofy, and incredibly handsome, with a stature that says “stay back” and a heart that says “I’ve got you.”

After being pulled from euthanasia at MAS, Scooby spent time training and decompressing at The Champion Farm, where he built confidence, worked through shelter anxiety, and showed everyone just how special he truly is. With structure, patience, and love, Scooby blossomed into the gentle, loyal boy we always knew he could be.

And then… he caught the eye of the perfect adopter.

"Josie came across my radar when she was at Memphis Animal Services - like so many dogs, she was placed on the euthanasia list due to over capacity. By the grace of God, a staff member felt compelled to take a video to show how sweet, snorty, and perfect she was. I’m so thankful that they did - because I was sold. It saved her life. Originally Josie was just a foster - but…

When you come across a dog that is this honest to goodness sweet, squatty, and most importantly temperamentally sound around children… we just couldn’t let her go. She keeps us laughing and fits in effortlessly with our other foster fails 🤣😆
We are so incredibly blessed to have her.

Bruno’s story began with heartbreak—abandoned at the shelter by his family and soon placed on the euthanasia list. 💔
But fate had other plans.

While attending an adoption event, a foster met Bruno and immediately saw what others had missed: a really good boy just waiting for a chance.

At the same time, a family grieving the loss of their beloved dog saw Bruno. With open minds and open hearts, they took a chance on this big boy—and fell in love within just a few days. 🖤

Sometimes love finds you exactly when you need it most.
Happy forever, Bruno. You were always worthy. 🐶✨

🌟🐾 Foster in the Spotlight: Lisa Easton 🐾🌟

Some people see the crisis. Others feel it.
Lisa has been with us since the very beginning, and she carries this work in her heart every single day.

While working a full-time job and raising an upstanding young man, Lisa still makes space for those who have no voice. She has pulled countless dogs from the euthanasia list, stopped her car and ran into the road to save a life, and stood in the cold collecting starving dogs who had nowhere else to go.

Humans created the world these dogs are struggling to survive in — and Lisa responds with grace, compassion, and intelligence. She is smart, thoughtful, and deeply intentional in how she helps — not only caring for dogs, but supporting the people beside her who are trying to make things better, one life at a time.

Lisa doesn’t look away. She doesn’t wait for someone else to step in. She shows up — even when it’s hard, even when it hurts, even when no one is watching.

In 2025–2026, she has opened her home to dogs like Jenny, Betty Boop, Cleo, Zane, Layla, Lilo, Stitch, Hank, Ezra, and most recently spent New Year’s Eve in the cold, feeding hungry dogs and nursing them back to health.
