Unity for Animals-UFA We are a 501c3 transitional Foster house in Memphis that helps animals in the Urgent list at the Memphis Shelter.

We also educate, connects and organizes campaigns around the issues that impact the animals and our community. Unity for Animals is a 501c3 organization that fosters, educates, connects, and organizes campaigns around the issues that impact animals and the greater Memphis area. We strive to unify and strengthen our community so we can work towards having a local shelter that does not euthanize an

It is also our mission to inform citizens of the programs available for spay/neuter and pet vaccines, and educate about pet ownership and pet surrender alternatives, especially within at-risk communities. We also work with rescues and help house animals for a short stay until they are ready to be transported to rescues, adopters or fosters. Our Unity for Animals educational and foster house works by turning compassion into action, and it is our goal to promote the inclusion of at-risk children for pet ownership education by empowering children to become animal advocates.

Two HW-negative dogs are in need of a forever home, where they can be adopted together or separately. They are 3 years old ans were saved from the mean streets on Frayser….Please open your heart and home to provide them with a loving space. Rescue organizations in need of 48” and 36” crates can acquire them free of charge. Our attic cleaning and insulation project has yielded these gently used crates, which were used when we first opened our doors in 2017. Now that we use commercial kennels, we are eager to find new homes for these crates. If interested, please contact us, and we will arrange a pickup time. Thank you.

We help the city by staying connected, and organizes campaigns around the issues that impact animals and the greater Memphis area. We strive to unify and strengthen our community so we can work towards having a local shelter that does not euthanize animals for time and/or space. It is also our mission to inform citizens of the programs available for inexpensive spay/neuter and pet vaccines, and educate our neighbors about pet ownership and pet surrender alternatives, especially within at-risk communities. Our Unity for Animals educational and foster house works by turning compassion into action, and it is our goal to promote the inclusion of at-risk children for pet ownership education by empowering children to become animal advocates.

There are no paid employees. We are all volunteers so the money you donate goes directly to the animals and upkeep of the property.
