This little fighter is dealing with an upper respiratory and eye infection, and he's not alone. We’ve had a influx of sick kittens over the last week. We are running low and are in need kitten food, KMR (milk replacer), and litter.

Meet Warlock! 🖤

Warlock is a very friendly 10-month-old teenage cat who loves to cuddle and spend time with people. He has a sweet, affectionate personality and is always happy to curl up beside you for pets and attention.

Warlock gets along well with other cats and is friendly with dogs, making him a wonderful addition to a variety of homes. He’s playful, loving, and ready to find a family of his own.

For a dog that some people wrote off…

For a dog that has every reason not to trust the world…

For a dog who has spent months in training, learning, healing, and rebuilding confidence…

This week Duke sat outside an ice cream shop while another high energy dog walked with him.

The other dog got a little impatient.

Duke was carefully sniffing his ice cream when the dog swooped in and stole the first bite right out of his cup. 😅

And Duke?

He did absolutely nothing.

No reaction.
No argument.
No drama.

Just looked at him like, “Well… I guess that’s gone.”

Even better, he spent the entire outing calmly ignoring the other dog despite plenty of opportunities to react.

The truth is, dogs like Duke are often overlooked.

They’re big.
They’re strong.
They’re intimidating to people who don’t know them.

But what we’ve learned is that the biggest dogs often have the softest hearts.

Duke doesn’t want much.

A couch.
A person.
A chance.

Someone willing to see the dog standing in front of them today instead of judging him by his size or his past.

Because behind that giant head is a dog who wants to share ice cream, go on adventures, cuddle on the couch, and finally belong to someone.

Big dogs spend longer in shelters.
Big dogs are passed over more often.
Big dogs need advocates.

And Duke is proof that sometimes the dog everyone is afraid to believe in becomes the one worth believing in the most.

Our sweet main squeeze Lemon saw the specialist today! He has been diagnosed with Merle Ocular Dysgenesis and Microphthalmos (abnormally small eyes), along with some small cataracts and retinal thinning.
Basically, it’s a fancy medical way of saying he has limited vision.
The good news? We have a plan! A specialized collar is on the way, and we’ve already teamed up with a trainer to set him up for success. Lemon is resilient, smart, and so ready to learn.
The next step? We need your help.
We are fundraising to cover the costs of his intensive training, special equipment, and veterinary follow-ups so he can eventually find his perfect forever home.
