🧡 Want to help save homeless dogs and cats without fostering? Here’s your chance!

Cleo’s Legacy is looking for volunteers to work concession stands at Paycor Stadium during Bengals games, concerts, and other events. Every shift worked raises money directly for our rescue and helps us provide medical care, food, training, and second chances for the animals who need us most.

We need to begin collecting volunteer information now so we can submit our roster to the stadium.

Requirements:
🐾 Must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.
🐾 Reliable volunteers only—our group is expected to maintain a high attendance rate.
🐾 Training is provided before your first event.

We see a lot in rescue. A lot that breaks our hearts. We keep going. The wins are what keeps us going. The ones we can help. Rescue is a village. The bigger the village the more we can help. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is the time.

Utterly devastated and with shattered hearts we share that inside of 2 days these 3 sweet babies went from playing, eating and drinking and indeed thriving to gone:(
These babies were rescued from living outside, their owner passed and the family kicked all the stray cats she was feeding to the curb. Our amazing foster Becca once again said yes without any hesitation when we asked her to take these 3 tiny babies in.
They were very skittish and afraid.
Becca and her family brought them around in no time.
They were about 3 weeks old when we took them in.
One by one they went from running around, playing and eating to lethargic and crashing and gone within 1-2 hours.
We had a vet apt for 2, sadly they crashed and passed despite the best care, an incubator and meds, they passed within hours of each other.
This is the hardest part of rescue, you can do everything right, give the best care and the most love, and they still do not make it:(💔
These babies most likely had a virus that they were exposed to as very young kittens before coming to us or a congenital issue. We will never know.
They knew love, kindness, safety, full bellies and compassion in their short little lives thanks to Becca, her family, and her impeccable and dedicated care, she truly is a blessing to all the animals she cares for.

Amara update.
This am she saw the vets at The Animal Eye Institute in Cincinnati, same fabulous specialists that saw our Lemon boy❤️
They really are marvelous there!!
They were actually very impressed with how well her left eye is healing. They eyeball is intact and healing beautifully:) the vision, obviously is NOT great, BUT if the healing continues and we can keep the herpes at bay, she may not lose that eye:)
They are not worried much about her right eye, it’s got a cloudy spot but vision intact and herpes doesn’t seem to be attacking it aggressively.
We are doing antiviral and pain drops 4x a day, continue antibiotic drops to the left eye 3x a day and continue the eye l**e 3-4x a day also.
Still to little for any surgery.
We have a follow up in 2 weeks.
They said she’s so healthy looking, good weight, perky, and such a cute loving baby:)

ZERO applications for dogs for weeks. Not for fostering, not for adoption. It’s so depressing yall. As a rescue we have to find homes or it turns into no different then being a shelter.
I want to remind people, I know it’s expensive to have a dog, I do. I have five personals and run a whole rescue, HOWEVER insurance is a fantastic option that is offered through our back end system we use (I just purchased for my most recent foster fail). Please consider fostering for free. Please consider adopting and getting insurance. Please consider helping us save lives.. please consider an Underdog, or a dog you may have not considered previously.
