🐾🐾 Guess who we got to visit yesterday?! Miss Tootsie 🐾❤️

Many of you have reached out asking for an update, So I figured I'd share here instead of replying to everyone individually.
Tootsie is adjusting great to be back at home, she absolutely adore her owner & follows her around like a shadow❤️ I could tell just in the short time of my visit with them, that their bond is inseparable.
Thanks to Erica Kelley Tootsie got a much needed bath this week & got a major haircut due to alot of burrs and matted hair😥 Thanks so much Erica!! Your time & kindness is so appreciated ❤️
Thank you Kappy Chermak for having us over for dinner❤️
And last but not least, I would just like to say "This is why we do what we do"...rescue work can be hard, exhausting & can make you feel defeated and even failed at times but, happy endings reuniting pets with their owners make it all worth it in the end❤️ As I pulled down the driveway yesterday, knowing Tootsie was asleep next to her owner on the couch, clean, happy & safe..I just smiled and thought "We did that" Travis Murphy ❤️

TOOTSIE UPDATE AUGUST 2,2026🐾

We reached a MAJOR milestone today in Tootsie's recovery!
After over a week of working with her to gain trust and get her comfortable with the laser kennel, we FINALLY have her entering all the way in & going to the back! This has been an extremely exciting day for us & Tootsie's owner❤️
We will now be able to move forward with setting the trap!
This will all be done around Tootsie's schedule & we are hoping the weather cooperates as well (Tootsie is scared of storms & rain)⛈️
We appreciate everyone who has donated & continues to support our missions to bring lost pets home safely❤️
We make several trips a day to these locations, go through alot of food & fund all of our equipment out of pocket. Even the smallest amount helps ❤️🙏

TOOTSIE UPDATE JULY 31, 2026🐾

Boy has it been a long week!! Miss Tootsie likes to keep everyone on their feet!
This week we have worked with her (Trap training) this technique is used for extremely skittish dogs that fear entering into any type of trap, kennel or enclosure. It is a process, but sometimes its the only way to gain a dogs trust & make them feel comfortable. We did this by removing some of the laser kennel panels (this made the area less enclosed)
Tootsie has continued to show up to eat & get water, She is finally entering the kennel freely.
Today we added back on the kennel panels and front gates. The gates are currently strapped fully open as we await her arrival to see how she reacts. This will help us determine the next step❤️
If Tootsie enters the kennel freely, we will move forward with setting the laser kennel to trap her!
If she does not, we will have to work more on getting her to feel comfortable entering the confined space.
This week has came with many obstacles as wildlife(& a cat) have interfered with eating food we have put out every day and as many of you know, there is a man missing in the area currently, which has caused search parties, extra traffic and police presence near by. We pray for his safety during this time as well❤️

Tootsie update July 28, 2026🐾🐾

The trail camera caught her posing for a close up, patiently waiting for food & I could resist editing a thinking cloud 💭
Tootsie is one smart cookie & continues to stretch her little body for food, but refuses to enter the laser kennel, So today I removed the front gate panels & we will see if we can gain her trust entering for food without having to cross through anything 🤞🤞This is all part of the process, Please continue to pray for her safety 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Its been a LONG week & I apologize for not giving an update sooner- but, I have been working non-stop!
Skittish Dogs are extremely time consuming & require ALOT of patience & work!
Tootsie has been staying in the area of our food & water. A Trap was set in place and we worked tirelessly for days to try to gain her trust to enter, but ultimately she is just to frightened😢
We now have hauled & set up our amazing laser kennel trap. Tootsie showed up & was eager to check it out.
Thank you to everyone who has donated & continues to donate❤️ Even the smallest amount helps us continue to work to bring pets home safely to their owners!
We work on these cases Monday-Sunday, All hours of the day! Driving back and forth to the location multiple times a day, replenishing food & water all throughout the day & night. Your donations help with gas, trail camera subscriptions, food supplies and keeping our equipment running smoothly 😉

I work hard at what I do & stay dedicated to the families I help. ALOT goes on behind the scenes that the community doesn't see.
Most nights im only getting 4-5 hours of sleep, I have kids & pets of my own also & a home to take care of...(by myself)
My partner has been unable to assist with trapping this summer also- so, Im doing this all on my own.
Just know- I care for each & every case I work on as if it were my own pet. I lose sleep, I take time away from my responsibilities, I break down & cry for these animals.
‼️ Don't doubt me when I say Im working on tracking a pet‼️
TOOTSIE is ALIVE & Has finally found my food station ❤️❤️
