Quills Daily Ink: Our Melon head treat is a seasonal treat. Watermelon is very hydrating treat for your dog( no seeds please)
We add a smidge of mint for added cooling!
And yes, we use real watermelon in our treat!
You can add peppermint essential oil to your pets drinking water (dogs and horses) (1-2 drops only)only use quality EO’s!!!!! Always have a plain bowl option in case they don’t want the peppermint option. Always give them an option what they can drink.
If your dog or horse is over heated add 1-2 drops of peppermint oil in a bucket of cool not cold water. Use a sponge or washcloth to wipe down your horse or dog, avoid private areas and head/eyes and top /back, of the dog or horse( wetting the back traps the heat in)
So do wipe down feet, and belly’s. For people add 1-4 drops of peppermint oil in a spray bottle depends on size of bottle how much you add, top off with distilled water. Spray back of neck, bottom of feet. Will help drop your body temp.
Avoid eyes and privates! If you get peppermint oil in your eye, dip a tissue in a carrier oil(veggie, olive oil) you have on hand, wipe over eye, the oil will pull the peppermint oil out of your eye.
If you do oils, peppermint oil should be in your top ten to have on hand!!!!
