Did you know that domestically, roughly 20.8 million packages are sent through UPS?📦 I will have to inform my mother to stop ordering so much dark chocolate 🍫, pretty sure she's bankrolling them just by herself💸. Just kidding, it's probably all the auto parts I've been ordering - it never ends! 😭😱

This week we're celebrating Milo the delivery doggo as our Pet of the Week!🎉 He's a 4 year old Toy Australian Shepard, trained at the early ages to deliver the best service he can bring! For those not in the area, don't fret he also does continental deliveries when visiting family on the East Coast! He keeps an active lifestyle, running and playing (snow is his favorite resistance training❄️) - gotta stay fit in order to get those packages on time! 🐶All jokes aside, he's a lovable and snuggly guy, and we here at Medford Animal Hospital are always happy to see his adorable face whenever he stops by! Congratulations Milo! 🎊🎉🎆

Are you looking for a new pupperoni? Did you forget to purchase a graduation gift for your niece or nephew?😱 Are you feeling lonely or lacking in some aspect? Do you feel personally victimized by your friends that have adorable pets?
Have no fear, Eggo the doggo is here!🦹🏼

Eggo is a 2 year Husky-Shepard Mix 🐾. He's currently living at the Jackson County (he's been a long term resident). A proper young man 🧐who knows how to sit and shake, he was found as stray more than 194 days ago. He suffered from a broken leg/hip and was treated at SOVSC🏥. An adorable, car chasing aficionado, with an incredibly boopable snoot - he's just waiting to run into the arms of his new family. Could that be you? 🎱Hint hint: signs point to yes. As it stands all adoption fees for Eggo are being waived.

In the Rogue Valley, there are multiple organizations dedicated to the rescue, protection, and adoption of stray animals. There is Southern Oregon Humane Society in Medford, the Rogue Valley Humane Society in Grants Pass, Dogs for Better Lives in Central Point, Hero Tails in Eagle Point, Rogue Valley Street Dogs, and of course Friends of the Animals. This isn't the entire list of available resources, it's just the beginning.

Today we celebrate Koda who was selected as this week's Pet of the Week! 🎉 He found his forever (fureva if you will 😉) home after his parents went to a SoHumane Event. Originally hailing from Fresno, California, he was brought to the Rogue Valley through the Saving Train that SoHumane operates (www.sohumane.org/the-saving-train for more information). 🚂 When his parents laid eyes on him, it was luv at first woof. Love overflowing, gentle with grandkids, with intelligence to boot - he filled a previously unknown hole in the hearts of the family.💕 Excuse me while I go cry from the feels😭❤️‍🩹

Today we are celebrating Ms. Rowdie as this week's Pet of the Week! Yay Rowdie!😭 She's reminding us of the importance of taking the time to enjoy the little things in life, regardless of where we are in the journey. When she's not defending her title of 178 time World Champion of Tag (those lizards🦎 better step up their game), she rests up for the next round. Have you ever seen a dog sleep on their back? What about covered with a blanket?💤 For Rowdie, these are two of her favorite things, so it's just the norm. She assists her mom unloading groceries by tossing the fruits🍎 and veggies🥗 into the air...whether they land on the counter... well that will be her next goal!🥅 😂While we've heard of her hardworking side, she also enjoys relaxing in the winter, roasting herself (safely I presume) in front of the wood burning stove. 🔥Congratulations Rowdie! 🎉

Terry and Timontamagus the toucans (okay, I totally made those names up!) are currently in week long veterinary quarantine for their Hawaii vacation. Hawaii and most airlines strictly require this step for all avians. Always check aphis.usda.gov for your destination's specific rules regarding species as it can vary. Most airlines also require health certificates, which can take three months or more to complete. This lengthy process involves extensive paperwork, strict timelines, and final government approval. Please plan ahead, and have all your research completed before scheduling a health certificate appointment with us. ☺️🏝️
