Happy November! Can you aca-believe it? Next month will be December, and then it's January, then BOOM! All of a sudden we'll be in 2053, wondering when nappy time is and why the prune juice isn't cold.

Today we'll be featuring one DVM and one receptionist, Dr. Bernard and everyone's favorite receptionist, Leina.

She's beauty, she's grace, she... omg she does not have a face!! *Panic ensues* I asked Leina to send me a cute photo of her enjoying life.... what I received was a picture of a little stick figure I drew. Since 2020, Leina has worked the front desk - answering your calls, listening to your concerns, scheduling your visits, and matching you with the appropriate DVM. She has two doggeronis; Winston the good boy, and Pepperoni... well let's just say Pepperoni shines best when she's left alone. While Leina prefers to be the woman behind the curtain, she's done a remarkable job keeping things flowing up front. Thank you to Leina for all your hard work, and the continued guidance for this young grasshopper!

Now, onto our outdoorsman, Dr. Bernard. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, he regularly enjoys playing golf, going hunting, and fishing of course. Dr. Bernard has been practicing... well since before I was a youth, with no inkling of the wider world. His wisdom is far reaching and never ceasing. With classical rock being his go to jam, he cheers on his Packers whenever they play - as well as an intense passion for the Oregon Beavers.

Thank you to both Dr. Bernard and Leina for all the exceptional work that you do!

Have you microchipped your pet? We HIGHLY recommend getting that completed. Just like with health insurance, it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Should your pet decide to go on a solo adventure, any local veterinary clinic can scan them and pull up your contact information. It's $75, but that's worth the cost of peace of mind!

Happy Halloween Everyone! To those that celebrate, feliz día de los mu***os!
At the office yesterday, we were inundated with minions, a random anglerfish decided to show up, and Dr. Jefferson wanted to make sure everyone was in good hands.

We're hoping everyone had a safe and enjoyable evening/night yesterday. 🎃🍭🍫 As we continue onwards towards more gatherings, filled with celebrations and joyous activities, just a gentle reminder that human food isn't necessarily compatible with dogs, cats, or iguanas (or whatever kind of animal you may have). Please ask your veterinarian for recommendations before deciding to give your animals "special treats".

Have you experienced sadness? Have you felt disappointment that your expectations weren't being met? You may be entitled to compensation - in the form of cute dog and cat photos!!!

Last week, we opened the door to the public to submit their own beloved animals for the chance to be chosen as Medford Animal Hospital Pet of the Week. To my great shame, no one has submitted any pets for evaluation. Is it me? Was I too energetic in my appreciation of fluffy floofs? Am I just using word vomit in a constructive manner that promotes our business!? Who am I? Where do I go from here? Don't start with the "it's not you, it's me"... I tried my very best to give enough time for everyone to submit. Now I must sit in the corner and wallow in my despair.

To cure my depression, would several of our 866 followers please submit photos to be considered for Pet of the Week? My soul yearns for the sweetness of adorable doggos and the cool aloofness of disinterested cats! Click on the link below to submit your nominations!

🎶Today's the daaaay🎶
You've been waiting so patiently, so demurely, so mindful, to hear more about our incredible staff!
To start off our crew, we'll be introducing our newest DVM and our newest receptionist.

Pictured on the left (the one with the hat for those directionally challenged) is our newest receptionist Anne.
From slinging darts and playing disc golf, to eating decadently rich and fancy dark chocolate while reading; Anne enjoys a variety of both outdoor and indoor activities. When we asked her what brought her to work at an animal clinic, she told us that "that every animal that walks through the front door brings me joy". In addition to the animals she sees here at MAH, at home she has three adorable cats named: Boo, Finnegan, and Pogo. 🐈

Pictured on the right (even the directionally challenged should be able to figure this out) is our newest DVM; Dr. Colburn.
Dr. Colburn recently joined our staff, and we are so delighted to have her! An avid equestrian with 2 Shire horses and 1 Drum horse [Bailey, Izzy, and Charlie respectively], Dr. Colburn also enjoys knitting and sewing in her free time. When we asked her why she decided to work at an animal clinic, she brightly responded with "I love to help the critters live better lives.. keeping them happy and healthy!". Thank you Dr. Colburn, we're excited to have you with us☺️

Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the people behind Medford Animal Hospital!

Did you know: the s*x of an alligators offspring is determined by the temperature of the nest during incubation!?!
Sadly for me, we do not have nor do we assist any scaley water pups here (I'm sure the DVM's are relieved).

Now that I have your attention; have you seen our posts about Pet of the Week? Has your pet ever had the desire to be super popular and fawned over by complete strangers on the internet? Surprise! Now's their time to shine!! Click the link below to submit your nomination! 🙌🏾🐶🐱🐭

All nominations will be tallied for a final vote that will take place on every other Friday! The deadline for submission for this round will be October 27th at 5:00pm PST. The MAH staff will vote throughout that week, with results being posted on Friday, October 31st.

Any questions, concerns, comments, or compliments; please write them in the comment box or shoot us a text at (541)772-2222.

Good morning! 🌞
Have you ever wanted your own four legged, huggable, extremely adorable, and quite sociable furry companion? Well look no further!🐕🐕‍🦺

Isaac had a tough start — he was sadly relinquished when his previous owners could no longer care for him after he suffered a severe tail injury. As a result, he now sports a cute little docked tail, but he hasn’t let that dim his spirit one bit! 🤩

He’s full of love, enjoys going for walks, playing with his other doggie friends, and gets along well with kids and other dogs. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to fill your life with tail wags and unconditional love.🥰

If you or someone you know is looking for a loyal companion, please reach out or share this post. Let’s help Isaac find the loving home he deserves! 🐶✨

Zeep zorp zoop! Have you ever seen anything so cute!?!😍
This week we're celebrating Midnight as our Pet of the Week. He's a 6 week old kitten, ready to explore the world. 🐈🌎🐾

With those itty bitty toe beans, that inquisitive yet somewhat judgmental stare, ya just want to pick him and squeeze him (gently) against your face.... oh just me? 😲😊

Anyway, from all of us at Medford Animal Hospital - congratulations Midnight!

Did you know, we offer two vaccinations specifically for your feline friends? Stop on by or give us a call/text at (541)772-2222; and we can tell you all about the preventative care we recommend for your furry felines (and other pets too!) 😊

Did you hear the news!?! The Rogue Valley Times held the 2025 Community Choice Awards last month and guess who came in first for Best Veterinary Clinic?? 🥇🥇
Oh I'll go ahead and tell you - Medford Animal Hospital was voted the #1 Veterinary Clinic in the Rogue Valley for 2025!🎉 Thank you to all those who voted for us, those who nominated us, and for your continued support! We love what we do, and every animal brought to us holds a special part of our hearts! 🥰🐈🐶
