Attention, Freedom Barkers! Next week the dog park will be affected by the following closures.

-Thursday, July 2nd: All areas of Freedom Park, including Freedom Barks Dog Park, will be CLOSED ALL DAY for event and firework set up.

-Friday, July 3rd: All areas of Freedom Park, including Freedom Barks Dog Park, will remain CLOSED THROUGH THE MORNING until Township inspections confirm all fireworks debris has been removed from the launch site in Squirrel Field.

Please help us spread the word about the upcoming closure by sharing this information with other park goers you know. 🐶🐾

❗IMPORTANT REMINDER: Medford's fireworks display is scheduled for July 2nd with a rain date on July 6th.

Please be advised that Freedom Barks Dog Park will be affected by closures since the fireworks are launched from Squirrel Field. We will share more details once we receive them from Medford Township.

CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH FIREWORKS AT MEDFORD’S FREEDOM PARK

MEDFORD, NJ. - Get ready for a spectacular evening as the Medford Celebrates Foundation, Inc. (MCF) proudly presents the annual Medford Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks at Freedom Park. Mark your calendars for July 2nd!

Things To Know Before You Go…….
Event Details:
• Arrival Time: Gates open at 6PM on July 2nd
• Park Closure: Freedom Park will be closed from dawn on the event day for setup and will reopen after cleanup, likely on the day after the event.
• Seating: Bring lawn chairs, blankets, or cushions for comfortable seating on the grass.
• Prohibited Items: Coolers, outside food, alcohol, glass containers, fireworks, tents, drones, large umbrellas, and smoking are not allowed.
• Dogs: Dogs are permitted – must be on a leash during the entire event – clean up after your pets.
• Courtesy Reminder: Please be considerate of others by not blocking views and cleaning up your area.
Medford Celebrates Foundation, Inc. is an all-volunteer Section 501(c)(3) non-profit entity dedicated to securing funding needed to stage Medford Township’s major events and producing Medford’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display.

Sadly, we must say good-bye to Sabrina, princess of Freedom Barks. She crossed over yesterday quietly at home with her loving Mom, Theresa, by her side. Sabrina loved the park and her pup and human friends. When she came for her morning social, pups would run to say hello and everyone would smile and say, “Here comes Sabrina” as she pranced across the buttercup field, and what a beautiful prance! Treats were not important. Standing among a group of begging dogs was not for a refined princess. She wasn’t one for rough housing but would indulge herself with a run in a field, an occasional skirmish in the sand, or a dip in the creek. Sometimes, she would bless you with a kiss. Every princess must have a prince. She chose Harley. They truly loved each other. We will all miss you, tiny princess, but many were there to meet you to run in the buttercups…Dakota, Murphy, Bailey, Roxy, Rocky, Roman, Sherlock, Whitten, Albus, and Bonnie.

We hope everyone has been having fun with their pups at Freedom Barks Dog Park! 

Recently, volunteers have worked on two maintenance projects, starting with repainting the balance beam. Then this morning, the freshly painted Buddy trail sign was reinstalled. In addition, the Lucy and Roxy trail signs were removed so they can be sanded and repainted. 

We want to give a quick thank you to all who have contributed to Freedom Barks, Inc. Your support allows us to continue maintaining this beautiful park. 🐶🐾
