ONE DAY LEFT to help us raise funds.
We have finally reached our 20% of totals sales level, thanks to all who helped us wt orders. The party was set up to run through August 30th as a means to help us raise more now that we have reached our 20% level. :) I have several folks that waited till we reached the 20% donation limit now excited to place there order! Thank you all!

Thank you Zara for working with Chief. He seemed to enjoy his very first bathing and grooming session. Chief is estimated at 4 to 5 year old, welch cross mix pony who has had little human handling. When he arrived to SMEM we mistakenly thought he was a large mini. After a quick growth spurt this summer we realized he was NOT a mini.
With the help of our experienced volunteers, we will continue the ground work training he requires before he is available for adoption.
Stay tuned for updates on this handsome young gelding.

We love to visit our rescues who are currently in foster care. Last week's visit we were delighted to see how happy and healthy Irish Kath and Stride are. These two SBs are a strongly bonded pair and SMEM continues to ensure they remain safely together.
We are so thankful to Ava and her family for all they have done to care for these beautiful rescues.

Our mission of saving and helping horses find soft landings is only possible because of our donors, friends and foster families.

Fostering is a great way to help us, where you can also gain an opportunity to care for horses and learn more about equine ownership. SMEM staff will guide you along the way.

Foster opportunities are available on-site or off-site. If you would like to consider fostering one of our rescues, please send your questions via email to [email protected]. An information package as well as application will be provide to you initially.

Southern States Charlotte Hall has supported our Rescue Mission for many years. They provide us experienced, professional nutritional advice for all our rescues (Horses, Goats, Chickens and barn cats!). SMEM has attended their past events and met the DAC representative who recommended some of their wonderful products as well. DAC OIL has been very helpful for our senior horse who has a hard time maintaining weight. Check out their event!
