Beau was in for a dental procedure. He has cervical lesions, also known as feline odontoclastic resorptive lesion - painful holes or erosions that develop near the gumline in cats. This often leads to requiring extraction of the tooth.
Often the cause is unknown, possibly an immune related response.
He will soon be feeling much better now that his diseased teeth are outta here!

* not pictured* the spray cheese all over the counter that "Indigo" devoured while getting her puppy vaccines * We have a variety of pet safe treats in the back that we use as a happy distraction for when they get their little needle pokes, and other potentially not so fun things, it works great and leaves the pet feeling less scared and helps them not be nervous of our treatment area!

Escobar came in and we immediately fell in love. In fact, the technicians loved him so much we keep a picture of him on our cupboard in the treatment area! He makes them smile when they look at his polaroid :)
