Sleepy baby 😴

At 8 weeks old a maltese puppy needs 18-20 hours a sleep per day.

Because they are growing rapidly and their brains and nervous systems are developing at a fast pace, they burn through energy quickly. You’ll often see them go from 100 mile an hour zoomies to completely crashed and asleep in a matter of seconds.
To help them get the rest they need, it’s best to establish a routine of short play and potty sessions followed by dedicated nap sessions in a quiet, safe space like their own puppy playpen.

By 12 weeks they will need far less sleep and rest as that rapid growth spurt slows
