Charles has spent his entire life waiting for a family to call his own, but he hasn't wasted a single day. This handsome young mixed-breed dog has grown up in our shelter learning valuable skills. He will thrive with an active family that has room in their heart and home for a large dog around 60-75 lbs.

Over the last 7 months, Charles has blossomed into a social, well-mannered companion. He has worked hard on his basic obedience, learned how to interact appropriately with people and other dogs, and continues to impress us with his eagerness to learn. His intelligence, willingness to please, and friendly personality make him a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes.

When you adopt a long-time resident from BYC, you will receive a $50 discount, plus 14 days of medical care, and a LIFETIME of support. Senior dogs like Oakley deserve to spend the rest of their golden year with a loving family.

Jake had the BEST time meeting all of our awesome guests at Bands for a Second Chance 2026 !!

The community involvement warms our hearts! Local support from friends and fellow animal advocates like Brooke Surgener mean the world to us. We are able to continue offering training to young dogs like Jake (who received several compliments during the event)!!
