It’s LITERALLY RAINING CATS and KITTENS! Looking for an adorable 🐈🐈‍⬛🐱😻 friend? PLEASE visit the Desha Veterinary Hospital in McGehee and adopt one. They will be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to adopt when you stop by Monday-Friday. They are closed during lunch and on Thursday afternoon. Please stop by and adopt an adorable kitten or cat or to just share your love with them! They have every color and size you can dream of!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Once again Masonville has been a dumping place for a very sweet dog! The house that she has shown up at loves her and she obviously loves them! The only problem is their two female dogs are being aggressive towards her. Do you have the time or place in your heart or home (or yard) to help us rehab this darling girl and show her what love is for a short while? Our shelter is FULL and we say FULL we mean every single kennel and they are doubled up where we can. We need a foster for her so we can commit to helping her. PLEASE PLEASE help us! One of the greatest rescue stories we have started with Rocky who was dumped in Masonville! I know people remember that baby who is living his best life today in New England!

Reflect on this for a moment. Isn't it sad that shelters are filled with labs, doodles galore, German Shepherds, and every other breed imaginable, all awaiting a second chance? And let's not forget the numerous shelters caring for unwanted cats and kittens too! Perhaps the litter you bought or sold found loving homes! Now ask yourself, did their new owners spay or neuter their dog or cat? Probably not. Wonder why there are so few rescuers? Most can't bear the heartache, but the dedicated ones stay, knowing that seeing any dog or cat get adopted is a triumph worth every minute spent with God’s incredible creatures that humans have failed.

We’ve had so many of you contact us asking how you can help with our Bingo fundraiser this Saturday. If you’d like to donate snacks, baked goods, gift cards, or gift baskets, just send us a message or contact Rachel Freeze, Autumn Atwill, Karen Cobb, or Stephanie Hite. We’ll be happy to pick up donations at the end of the week. But most importantly, JOIN US Saturday night at 5:30 for some family friendly fun with emcee Jason Martin! You can’t beat a night of cash, prizes, and awesome snacks with ALL of the proceeds going directly to support the more than EIGHTY dogs we’re currently caring for. Her gratitude for the love, safety, and care she receives is truly self-evident. THIS. IS. RESCUE. DO the DAMN math already people. Better yet do the RIGHT THING!!!! Please for every animal rescuer you know, have met, heard of, or potentially might meet……STOP with the OOPS litters. It’s not cute or really an accident when it is preventable! It IS NOT our JOB or RESPONSIBILITY to clean up YOUR messes. We offer free and low cost spay and neuters for your dogs and cats! If your animal has been “exposed” it can still be fixed.
