Everyone meet Kai! Our newest resident! We love that we are now able to assist rescues and help dogs on their journey to finding a forever home!

New Jersey bound with all this handsomeness. Kai is just the best boy. He’s been with a temporary foster for a little over a week and has been phenomenal. Unfortunately, her space ended today. So this sweet boy is off to board and train. When we don’t have a foster, we do the next best thing. We aren’t about boarding dogs, especially a breed who needs an active life on the daily . So board and train it is. He’ll get loads of exercise, play groups, a ton of stimulation, and all the attention he can stand. Since there’s no such thing as too much training, it’s a win win. You’re going to have a blast buddy. Thank you so much Family Canine Training for taking Kai under your wing.

🎆FIREWORK SEASON🎆
It's here and lasts longer then just 1 day!
Please take some time to have a plan for your dog who might not understand what the loud noises are.
Ensuring their safety will bring so much relief to you during the holiday!

🐾This season will result in high volume missing dog posts. It has already started. Avoid this with a few easy steps.

🐾A secure location. Whether that's a crate or bathroom it's important your dog doesn't have the ability to bolt out a door/gate in a panic.

🐾Special toys. Kongs that are stuffed with Greek yogurt and kibble, frozen. Puzzles. Old toys dipped in bone broth and frozen. All great options

🐾Putting up-to-date tags on a secure collar.

🐾Medication. Your vet can either prescribe medication or you can look into cbd options that are pet approved.

🐾Training. We have a program specifically to help train dogs to have a positive response to noises vs fearful impulses

Remember. No one plans on their dog running away in a panic but we can take a few simple steps to reduce the outcome. Be kind, be safe and have a wonderful holiday! 🇺🇲🎆🎇
