Why not beat the winter blues? Why not invest in yourself and your horse’s future? Wouldn’t you love to learn how to make them soft and subtle? Wouldn’t you love to learn to have a conversation with your horse rather than a frustrating battle? Wouldn’t you love learn how to teach your horse to move off of a feel? A soft feel? To wrap around your leg to turn a barrel…softly? To walk down the trail confidently? To not get worried about entering the show pen? IT STARTS WITH US Y’ALL.
Come on out, cuz we all know the weather here in PA is too miserable to ride outside right now…so come on out and join us in the indoor to add some tools to your toolbox so when the weather does break, you’ll have some new ways to help you and your horse! Jason is PASSIONATE about what he teaches…and it doesn’t matter what discipline you ride! These techniques help ALL horses from barrel horses to jumping horses! We will have a patio heater set up to help get you warm along with HOT coffee ☕️ and hot chocolate and hot tea! It’s gonna be fun and sooo educational! We have some open spots for you to join us with your horse and lots of room for auditors. Bring a chair and stay for the day. To register your horse, please shoot me a message and I’ll get you the form.
There is a LOT of great information to be taught…even if you’ve been to one of his clinics in the past, he continues to learn from the best of the best out there and has more to offer at each clinic.

Waylon is a coming 3 year old blue roan draft cross gelding. We bought him as a weanling and has had an extensive foundation put in on him here at Asher Horsemanship . He will be started under saddle soon and He will be available SOON!

This is day 1 for Jager under saddle for me. He is doing a LOT of things right …there is much room for improvement, but I am thrilled with his progress.

Just like a child learning. You want a child to write his name when he goes to school. That’s your goal he’s going to write his name as soon as he can whether it’s the first day or the next month it doesn’t make any difference. First he has to get ready to write. He has to prepare. If the child has never used a pencil he first has to learn to pick it up, what it means to pick it up, what it feels like then he gets to scribbling making lines then he begins to make letters of some kind. Later he’ll put the letters together. We don’t expect the child to write his name the first day or two in school. As soon as he learns to sit down in class and listen to the teacher, he is not immediately expected to write his name, but we expect immediate learning from a horse. We expect him to go from kindergarten to the eighth grade to high school and to college without enough time preparation or consideration for his thoughts and feelings, we often don’t even get him in a learning frame of mind before we can begin to train him. We don’t even have him relaxed and confident or he can sit down in class and just listen we skip all that preparation because we are so superior or neglectful or lazy because we haven’t prepared ourselves to recognize the horses feelings. - Ray Hunt.

With that said, we continue to teach Cash his ABC’s so he can eventually spell his name (accept the saddle without worry and concern) it’s all a conversation y’all. Thank you for watching.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! It’s work as usual around here today with the training horses. Today, Cash is in the hot seat first. I want to add a disclaimer for y’all…by no means am I telling you that you need to go out and rope your horse! There is a particular order or progression it takes to safely get them to this point. You can teach the right things at the wrong time and cause a lot of anxiety and problems, not to mention getting hurt yourself. If you’d like to know more about this order, plan to attend one of my clinics…that’s where we start. Building confidence and teaching the right exercises in the right order.
