Whew, yesterday was such a full day of honoring mothers we let an awareness day pass. We missed German Shepherd Day! German Shepherds have ears standing at attention. Their coats can be a range of colors, in fact, the AKC recognizes 12 different colors: Black / Black & Cream / Black & Red / Black & Tan / Black & Silver/ Blue / Grey / Liver / Sable / White and Bi- color. It's important to note that while these colors are officially recognized by AKC, only rich, strong pigmentation is preferred under the AKC breed.

Also known for a strong working ability and herding ability, the German Shepherd makes a great personal defense animal. German Shepherd dogs make great pets too. If you care for a shepherd, SHARE a photo with us today.
