This is great info for our large breed/deep chested patients! The temps will be heating up in the next few days, dogs and their owners will be more active. Any time you see your dog panting excessively from exercise/play let them calm down and then moderate their intake of food and water. If you feed and water beforehand, do not engage in any heavy play or exercise right away.

Our office offers a 4DX Heartworm test that also screens for tick borne diseases. If your dog is due for the yearly Heartworm test, we will ask if you’d like this done instead. It is a very simple blood draw using the same amount needed for our standard testing!
