City of Mathis

Part-Time Position

Applicants may complete an application online or pick up an application at City Hall located at 411 E. San Patricio Street.

Part-Time approximately 10 hours a week.

Weekends, Holidays, and or if the Aco is gone.

Primary duties are to provide maintenance cleaning, feeding, and general attention to the animals housed in the shelter.

Duties and responsibilities

Provides food, water and general care of shelter animals.

Cleans and disinfects kennels, cages, bowls, and related equipment

wash blankets,

Assists with overall welfare of the animals at the facility

Hours/Days may vary based on need

Must work weekends.

May work with the public on occasion.

Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.



Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED



Physical requirements

The Kennel Attendant shall have the ability to sit, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, bend, twist, hear and talk while performing assigned duties. Lift up to 50lbs. He or she may be exposed to chemical hazards. May receive animal bites, scratches, and be exposed to communicable diseases.
