Remember Bert? We’ve been monitoring his testicles. Yes you heard that right 😳unfortunately, neither one of them have ever appeared so yesterday he met with internal medicine and had an ultrasound done. And still even with a specialist, One testicle cannot be found. So unfortunately, our regular vets cannot do his neuter and he’ll be having surgery today at Garden State to go search for that testicle in his abdomen. ❤️‍🩹
Please keep our little guy in your thoughts today. 
Sadly, we have two more boys in the same situation next Johnny then Phoenix

The state of animal welfare across the country is horrific. Adoptions are down. Donations are down, volunteering is down yet the dogs just keep coming. We are asked to help hundreds of times a day that’s hundreds of dogs every day.. we can’t possibly keep up. When we ask for committed fosters and volunteers the need is dire. This is what happens when rescues have to say no .  Abandoned on a local New Jersey Highway . This guy is 8 yrs old , not vetted but a sweet boy. Husky House would love to help him but we need help . Fosters , volunteers and donations needed . If you EVER thought about helping now is the time.. rescue groups and shelters are drowning.

We are going thru food like crazy ! Bernie is having a tough time keeping weight on so he’s going thru a lot of satin balls made of ground beef. If your out grocery shopping this week please consider helping us out with much needed supplies. Currently we need Natures Domain Adult dog food, Ground Beef, canned chicken and cheese( shredded , cubed or block) As always Thank you so much for your support!

Friday morning we received an urgent call for a litter of five 1 week old husky puppies surrendered to the shelter with no mom. They said mom wasn’t taking care of them so they took them to the shelter. We immediately headed out to pick them up as we had no idea what condition they would be in. 3 older puppies were surrendered as well. We took all 8. Taking in bottle babies is a lot of work but can easily be done regardless of space. A mom n pups however is much different. We got them home and settled in feeding started every 2 hours. Then later Friday night just before closing the shelter called .. they just brought in mom and the story changed. They said she was taking care of them and they now felt bad. 🤬 Of course we agreed to take her n now we have to figure out space .. you can’t just put a mom n babies anywhere. Mom had to spend a night at the shelter and we picked up a terrified totally stressed out dog in the morning. We reunited them and mom has not left their whelping box since reunited. Mom understandably is now super protective and obviously worried about her babies. As she gets more comfortable with me I’ll share more photos but right now our priorities are to make mom feel safe . What started out as bottle raising turned into setting up a nursery for a terrified mom. We got you momma🩷🐾🍼 Follow us for updates on our precious new family
