Considering Mom is usually writing or helping at the table, there’s not many photos of Elizabeth at the tables. Was so excited that these were captured of Elizabeth working her tail off to help the shows run smoothly. We don’t always see a lot of youth helping to run tables 😍

Two different states. Two different national speciality shows. Two amazing wins ❤️

Elizabeth was in Washington for the ACBA National Cavy show and took Best Junior of Breed American with a REO Junior sow. She also won District 8 Management and Achievement for her age division.

Chuck is in Sedalia, MO at the National All Satin Show and took Best of Variety Red with a gorgeous Sr Doe who is only 6 months old and senior weight. She’s the daughter from the BOV red at ARBA convention 2023. ❤️

Elizabeth’s white Cal sow was HUGE! Mom said 6 babies - Elizabeth said 4 babies again. Mom was right again! This sow just keeps producing large beautiful litters 🥰 The pups were all about the same size at 3.9 ounces. Poor momma has got to be happy to have had the babies!

Silver Solid looking for a new home 🏡

Elizabeth has decided to part with this silver solid American sow. She’s out of a Golden Solid (from a black x silver) and her foundation Silver Solid boar. Born beginning of February. Her ticking is all solidly in and very consistent. She’s just a little more ticked than she wants. So far, ticking is coming down towards the feet but not fully ticked at this point.

This little Himi boar is looking for a new 🏡 He was born at the end of January and is going to ACBA Specialty in WA. He’s done well at the two shows he’s been to - but Elizabeth doesn’t breed himis and doesn’t want to 🙂 He’s out of a DEW boar x Cal sow.

This weekend, we traveled to our very first Ontario Cavy Club convention. It was really neat to meet so many of our Canadian Counterparts and see how they show. They show open and youth together and so with that having a Best of Variety Himi and a Reserve of Variety Cal Pattern was awesome. Then she won Best of Breed- Youth and Reserve in Show by a Youth with her ticked solid American (Smooth Coat) Satin. ❤️ Thanks OCC for a great weekend!

I’ve not said much until I could make sure we got all our pigs 🐹 in a row but everything has been booked for Elizabeth (and mom) to go to the ACBA national specialty in Washington! We’re super excited - not only to show in a completely different area with different youth but Elizabeth’s never been on the west coast before.

It’s also the same weekend Chuck will be taking his red Satins to National All Satin Specialty in Sedalia, MO. What a crazy weekend it will be!

Somewhere in the last few weeks, we’ve lost time. But in there, these three baby silver solids were born out of Marigold (golden solid) and Kili (silver solid). This may be Kilis last litter as he’s Elizabeth’s foundation boar and just isn’t bouncing back from breedings like she’d like. Hell just live out his days all comfy instead. ❤️

Today was Day 2 of the MSRBA convention weekend. Elizabeth took Reserve in Show C and Best in Show D with her Ticked Solid American Satin. Her and Dylan flip flopped ❤️. Thanks to Kelly Hanson and Todd Naragon for recognizing them.

Chuck won Best of Variety red in both shows today. The judges were all VERY complementary to his young animals this weekend. On to NASS!

To say that we are proud of Elizabeth and her achievements in cavies is an understatement. She also recently was sent a plaque for 3rd in the NATION for American Satins and 5th in the nation for Americans. 🖤🩶❤️

This year, Chuck really worked on getting his Satin fur to a better place. He entered a total of 5 rabbits in fur in some shows - mostly colored because he was so excited with their fur condition and wanted to check if he was going in the right direction. He was and took several first places in both colored and white fur. Which landed him in 4th place in the state for fur points ❤️🤍💙 So proud of Chuck and his pretty reds!

So today was a long Girl Scout day but when we got home, blessed with not one but TWO litters! Poppy (Red Cal sow) had 4 babies and Belle (Satin ticked solid) had just one. The 3 baby whites (2 cals and a REW) are about 5 days old now but we hadn't gotten photos of them yet

20%. That’s the given statistic for losing a sow in childbirth. Statiscally, we knew this was a possibility but it doesn’t make losing a favorite pig and her babies any easier. Last night we lost Dallas, Elizabeths silver solid sow and her 4 babies had died inside. She was such a sweetheart and had such adventures including a trip to Texas (which is how she got her name). She was the first of Elizabeth’s own babies to have taken a Best In Show. 💗 Thankfully, we still have her sister and one of her babies but it still sucks.

Our annual Town N Country 4-H show was today. Elizabeth took Reserve in Show Cavy with a Cal Pattern behind a very pretty Abyssinian.

But I’ll be honest, I don’t have a photo of that. What I do have a photo of was Elizabeth congratulating one of her fellow 4-H members who gave cavy showmanship a shot today after *just* learning how to do it and using one of Elizabeths animals, won Junior cavy showman. Congratulations to Parker and all our winners today! 💗

Now that this has been gifted, I can share. Elizabeth did her first commissioned piece of art for a cavy friend whose dog passed away. The emotion in his eyes and ears are amazing! Can’t wait to see what else she creates ❤️
