***SHADOW NEEDS A HOME*** ***PLEASE SHARE ***

Golden State was contacted about this two-year-old neutered male GSD (or GSD mix) named Shadow. Apparently, his owner, Hannah, joined the service and is leaving for Boot Camp on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Shadow doesn't have a place to go, so she and her mom, Michelle, reached out to several Rescues asking for help.

Shadow is crate-trained and housebroken. He knows the commands “sit”, “lay down”, “relax” , “leave it”, and “free”. Shadow also knows a few hand signals. He loves belly rubs, back scratches, and playing in the water.

Shadow is good with and enjoys the company of other dogs that are his size. He isn’t fond of small dogs and cats. However, he is currently living with a couple of kitties. (Michelle reports, “I have two cats here at my house. I do have a baby gate up to give the cats their own space. I think he’s more curious. My senior cat doesn’t mind him, but the younger one doesn’t like him.”)

Shadow has been around kids ages 6-10 and was really comfortable with them. One was Special Needs, and she always asked about Shadow.

If Shadow’s owner can’t find a place for him by Monday, she will surrender him to the shelter.

We are Nate and Nicole Brown, your local home and pet sitters, licensed and located in Marysville, California. We each have over 30+ years of experience with all kinds of animals from furry to finned. We are also both Canine Trainers in obedience and behavior and professional canine handlers. We have a deep love for the well-being of all animals and are proud to offer you our pet and home care services.

We know how much you love you fur family, that is why we provide a safe, loving, comfortable and secure environment for your pets. We are home full-time and animals are never left unattended or unsupervised. All animals get to live in a pack environment, with us and our animals, like family. They are welcome on furniture, and of course, our laps.

Nicole grew up with hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, dogs, cats and more, all at the same time. Nate grew up rescuing stray cats and getting any kittens adopted. Later years, we were the chosen ones that all family and friends came to when they needed their pets and home watched. Together we have fostered, rescued and rehabilitated all breeds of dogs.

We have two very well-socialized dogs of our own, a German Shepherd and a Walker Coonhound. We have experience with medical needs, special needs and senior dogs and cats. We have a fully fenced property with plenty of room for the dogs to run. We have a temperature controlled house to keep pets comfortable any time of year. This is the perfect environment for your animal to decompress and heal after surgery.
