We know there are compassionate people in our community who have the heart for dogs like Terra. ❤️

Senior and medically complex animals are often overlooked, but no matter how much time they have left, they still deserve the comfort of a home and the love of a family.

🐶 Terra (A483323) is a 14-year-old pit bull who first came to Front Street as a stray in 2015. She returned to her family then, but more than a decade later, she came back to us after her owner passed away.

Terra has multiple large masses suspected to be cancerous, arthritis, and significant dental disease. But right now, she’s comfortable, gentle, social, and still enjoying life. She walks beautifully on leash, loves cheese, takes treats ever so gently, and has done well with other dogs in playgroup.

Through our AdoptUs program, nonprofit Friends of Front Street Shelter helps cover eligible veterinary expenses related to Terra’s qualifying conditions, including medications, diets and supplements, monitoring and diagnostics, and end-of-life services when the time comes. 💜

If you have the heart to love Terra through this chapter of her life, we’ll help ease the financial burden so you can focus on what matters most: giving her the love, comfort, and home she deserves.

Terra spent most of her life knowing what it meant to have a family, only to find herself back at the shelter at 14 years old. We want nothing more than for her to know that love again.
