UPDATE! We found hay! Thank you everyone for your help 🫶

We hate having to make this post, but after putting out our last bales of donated hay today, Angelic Riders is urgently in need of hay for our horses.

We have been incredibly blessed to have hay donated, but due to the recent drought, our supplier is no longer able to provide enough hay. Unfortunately, many local farmers are also running low or are already sold out.

Feeding and caring for our horses is one of the biggest ongoing expenses for our nonprofit, and this unexpected need comes at a difficult time.

If anyone has recommendations for hay sources or would like to help sponsor hay for the horses, we would be so grateful.

We appreciate our community more than you know. ❤️

Long post, but an important one 🤍

This is Charlie. When he first joined our program years ago, we knew he was something special, the perfect pony for our clients. And for a while, he truly was.

Over time, we started noticing changes in his mood and behavior. After having the vet out, Charlie was diagnosed with EPM, a serious neurological disease caused by parasites that affect the central nervous system. We treated him, and for a while, he was improving.

Recently, though, we began seeing some concerning changes again. We had bloodwork redone a couple of weeks ago, and unfortunately, his EPM levels have worsened. Charlie will need treatment again.

Charlie is not a horse that can be easily replaced. He has a special way of connecting with our riders, and our kiddos truly miss the old Charlie.

If you’re able, please consider donating to help us cover Charlie’s treatment and care so we can get him feeling like himself again. Every bit truly helps.
