🎖️Today and every day we honor those who served and protected our freedom. Belly Rubs Senior Dog Sanctuary is proud to be a dual-mission dog shelter. Nestled over 10 lush acres in the New Jersey Pinelands, we serve both ends of the leash by providing a serene, nature-filled retreat for overlooked senior dogs
and a dedicated haven for the companions
of deployed military members.

Belly Rubs will house military personnel dogs while their owners are deployed for any amount of time, and we promise to never give them away. Veterans deserve (and need) to come home to their pets and know that their dogs were well loved during their tour. Through our Be Right Back (BRB) program, we ensure
that no service member faces the heartbreak
of losing a pet due to deployment. By pairing these dogs with fellow veterans for companionship and mutual therapy, we foster a cycle of healing and security. This ensures that those who sacrifice for our freedom return
to the joyful reunion they deserve. A special volunteer group will be caring for these dogs and using this as PTSD therapy for veterans in need.

For My 50th Birthday:

What does every person who didn’t grow up with dog want for their birthday?

What am I getting for my 50th birthday…
50 Dogs!!!

What can you get me for my 50th birthday, just a little bit of help…

I am finally pursuing my lifelong dream and am opening a 501c3 non-profit
(Belly Rubs) that will provide a forever home for rescue and overlooked dogs. We will also house dogs for military personnel free of charge for as long as they are on active duty.
Those who fight for our freedom should not lose their best friend while doing so.

We have already had over 150 volunteers come through for orientation. Belly Rubs will truly save lives on both ends of the leash.

We are on the doorstep of opening, but am asking for your help. We need to renovate the kennels, have ongoing expenses, and the costs of supplies and materials have dramatically increased. Help where you can. If you can help financially, no matter what the amount, thank you. If not, please share this post and this fundraiser with everyone you know.

❄️ Thank you to everyone who signed up for our volunteer trainings! The sessions scheduled for this Friday and Saturday will still be meeting at Belly Rubs. An email will be coming out today confirming your participation and providing some details about where to go and other pertinent info.

The sessions scheduled for this Sunday are CANCELLED. We will be offering more volunteer training sessions in the near future so please check your emails soon.

Thank you so much to our Belly Rubs followers! We had a HUGE response to our upcoming volunteer trainings. At this time, we are at capacity and have shut down the registration survey.

If you were unable to sign up, please know we will host another round soon. We will send out another email with that information.

If you would like to receive information from Belly Rubs, please go to our website (thebelly.org) and sign up for our newsletter. All those email addresses are added to our database.

We are so appreciative for all the enthusiasm and support we have received and look forward to meeting everyone soon!

An additional reminder: Belly Rubs is NOT open to the public yet. Once we are up and running, we will share that in a post and email too.
