🐾 NOW HIRING: MIDDAY DOG WALKERS! 🐾

Do you love dogs, enjoy being outdoors, and want a job where your coworkers have four legs and are always happy to see you? 👀🐶

Stow Road Pet Sitters is growing, and we’re looking for reliable, animal-loving people to join our team as Midday Dog Walkers!

🗓️ Monday–Friday availability
⏰ Approximately 9 AM–3 PM
📍 Serving Marlborough & Hudson
🚗 Mileage reimbursement

🐕 Lots and LOTS of happy pups

No professional pet care experience? No problem! We provide hands-on training and will teach you what you need to know. What we can’t teach is reliability, good judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals — so we’re looking for people who already bring those things to the table. 💚

If spending your workday getting fresh air, hitting your step goal, and making a bunch of dogs ridiculously happy sounds better than sitting behind a desk… we should talk. 😉

A little behind-the-scenes antics to put a smile on your face.

Harley absolutely loves pack howling, she always has. It's how we bond. The other dogs don't seem to understand it and seem very confused when we do it. I get a good laugh either way 🤣

Creeping into the weekend like… 👀🐾

It was a chilly morning in the dog yard today, which can only mean one thing… fall is right around the corner! 🍂🐶

Seriously, HOW is it already almost the end of August?! 😭

Back-to-school season is upon us, and with it comes a whole new routine. The kids are back in school, afternoons are filled with practices, evenings and weekends somehow become completely consumed by sports, activities, errands and everything in between. 🏈⚽️📚

And while everyone is adjusting to the new schedule… don’t forget about the dog! 👀🐕

If the kids have been helping with walks and potty breaks all summer, now is the time to start thinking about what your pup’s routine will look like once they’re back in school.

That’s where we come in. 💚

Whether your furry friend needs a midday walk to break up the day, a morning at daycare to burn off some energy, or a little extra attention while you’re running from one activity to the next, Stow Road Pet Sitters has you covered. 🐾

Because back-to-school season is an adjustment for them, too.

📚 Kids back in school.
🏈 Practices back on the calendar.
🐕 Dog walks? Leave those to us.

So tell us, what activity consumes your fall schedule? Drop an emoji in the comments!

Don’t tell Murphy… but I think Isa has a new boyfriend. 👀😂💕

Today was Bodie’s very first day of daycare, and he and Isa hit it off IMMEDIATELY. It must be that shared doodle energy or something, because somehow they always just know. 😂🐾

Isa gave our newest daycare friend the warmest welcome, and before long, the two of them were chasing each other around the yard at FULL SPEED, taking turns initiating play and having an absolute blast together. Bodie definitely found himself a buddy on day one!

We love watching new friendships form around here — especially when the chemistry is this instant. 🥹

Welcome to the crew, Bodie! I have a feeling you’re going to fit in just fine. 💚🐾

P.S. Murphy… you saw nothing. 🤫😂

Yes, I’m going to ask about your dog’s p**p. 💩😂

It’s one of those Meet & Greet questions that sometimes gets me a funny look:

“What do their bowel movements normally look like?”

But there’s a reason I ask. I want to know what normal looks like for your pet.

Because if we don’t know their baseline, we don’t know when something has actually changed.

And that goes far beyond p**p.

We learn who inhales breakfast and who grazes. Who p**ps once and who reliably goes twice. Who drinks a ton after a walk. Who greets us like a long-lost friend and who needs a few minutes to warm up.

We learn their routines, their quirks, and all those tiny details that make them them.

So when something changes—a skipped meal, an upset stomach, unusual thirst, lower energy, or simply seeming a little “off”—we notice. And knowing their normal also means we’re not unnecessarily worrying you about something that’s completely typical for your pet.

That’s the part of pet sitting that’s hard to put a price tag on.

Your pets aren’t just appointments on our schedule. We genuinely get to know them. We care about them. And over time, we really do grow to love them. ❤️

Sometimes love just happens to look like being very invested in their p**p. 😂💩

One of the coolest parts of this job is getting to watch your pets grow up — and grow old — right alongside us. 🥹🐾

I’m not out in the field nearly as often these days, so when I do get the chance to visit some of my old friends — the pets I’ve personally known and loved for years — it is SUCH a treat.

And this morning, that treat was Selise & Faith. 💚

I first met these ladies about three years ago, right around the time Selise joined the family. Selise was young, spirited, and VERY enthusiastic about absolutely everything. 😂 And while that personality certainly hasn’t gone anywhere, I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow up, settle into her new home and her life with her sister, and become such a lovely walking companion. Once we get through the initial OMG LORI IS HERE!!! celebration at the door, she’s actually a pretty chill girl these days.

And then there’s Faith — 14 years young and absolutely not interested in slowing down anytime soon. 🥹

I swear, Selise coming into her life gave Faith a little extra youthful glow. She still heads out for walkies with her sister every day, keeps right up with her, and is very much an active participant in all the fun.

But one of my favorite changes has been in our relationship.

Faith used to be a little more standoffish with me. She was perfectly happy to do her own thing and keep a bit of distance. Over the years, though, we’ve become buddies. Now she happily greets me at the door, gives me kisses, and genuinely seems excited to see me. And I can’t tell you how special that feels. 💚

That’s one of the things I love most about this work.

We get to go through life with your pets.

We watch the young ones grow up. We watch the seniors surprise us. We see personalities change, relationships develop, faces turn gray, and bonds deepen — including our own bonds with them.

And sometimes, years later, I get lucky enough to see a couple of familiar names on my schedule and think, Oh my gosh. I get to see my old friends today. 🥹

What a treat it was to spend my morning with these two ladies. 💚🐾
