Beantown Hounds

Beantown Hounds We offer twice daily off-leash playgroups for dogs living in the greater Wellesley area. We also offer in home boarding for our regular clients.

Dogs are picked up at their home and brought to local area parks for off leash fun time with their friends. We take dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities. As well as having fun, we will also work with you to reinforce any training you are working on with your dog. We believe that socialization and exercise are the keys to a happy dog!!

We were so saddened to hear about the passing of our old friend Marlowe. Even though Marlowe had aged out of his hikes awhile ago, we still saw him for the occasional overnight and he was also a team favorite.

Marlowe lived such a great, long life but it never feels long enough. We’re happy thinking of him running with his friends, making friends with all the bunnies and just running free like he always loved.

We’ll miss you Marlowe! Say hi to the crew over the bridge for us. ❤️🐾🌈

Looks like we skipped right over Spring this week and headed straight to Summer. We’re taking it a little slower on the trails this week as we all (canine and human) adjust to these temps. Thankfully the streams are flowing for plenty of fresh water while we’re out! 🌿☀️

We were so saddened to hear about the passing of our pal Pippa. Pippa only came with us for a little while before deciding that staying home while sending her little brother out was a more ideal situation. We enjoyed getting to know her while she was with us and always appreciated the barks and the scritches when we’d see her at Toby’s pick up.

We know her loss is a big adjustment for Toby who idolized his big sister as well as the rest of the family. No matter how long we get with them, it’s never long enough.

Enjoy the adventure over the bridge, Pips. We’ll see you on the other side. 🌈❤️🐾

After many, many, many hours, the zoomie track is ready and being put to good use! We have somewhere between 1 and 2 feet out here in Framingham.

Hikes are on for tomorrow, Tuesday Feb 24th. They will shortened and running a little later in the day. We’ll be cutting first tracks so it’ll be slow going!

Fletch would like remind all the shorties and older dogs that they should stay home and let the big, young dogs pack down the trails for them. Never do for yourself what someone else can do for you is Fletch’s life motto 😂

River and Remi say enough of this rest day stuff … let’s get moving! 🐕

We generally try to get out on the trails regardless of the weather but as someone who lived through the Blizzard of ‘78 (ok I was snugly in utero but still), I know better than to take our chances tomorrow. 🥶🌨️

All hikes are canceled tomorrow. We’re hoping the snow dies down early enough that they can get the roads cleared for Tuesday and then we’ll be back on cutting first tracks again!
