✨ Meet Drina – Our Miracle Worker! ✨

Every rescue has that one person who seems to work miracles, and for Little Whiskers, that’s Drina! ❤️

We can hand Drina some of the hardest, most challenging kittens, and somehow, she works her magic! We honestly can’t explain how she does it, but we swear this woman has a special gift! 🪄🐱

Drina has been part of the Little Whiskers family since 2023, actively fostering, helping at events, and stepping up wherever she’s needed.

From tiny newborns needing around-the-clock care to seniors and some of our most serious medical cases, Drina takes them all on! And when we say she doesn’t shy away from a challenge, WE MEAN IT!

One thing we know for sure is that when we call Drina for help, she never hesitates. She jumps right in, no matter how difficult the situation may be.

Drina has become such a crucial part of our rescue, and we truly don’t know what we’d do without her. The number of little lives she’s helped save is something we could never put into words. ❤️

Drina, thank you for your huge heart, your dedication, and for being our very own miracle worker! We’re so lucky to have you in the Little Whiskers family! 🐾

🐾❤️ AN UNEXPECTED RESCUE NEEDS YOUR HELP! ❤️🐾

Please excuse our delay in posting! Things have been a little crazy at Little Whiskers, and yesterday was no exception!

Yesterday, a random kitty walked right through the doors of Petco, desperately searching for FOOD! 💔 This poor boy was absolutely STARVING. Was he dumped there? We honestly don’t know.

What we do know is that he’s the SWEETEST boy ever! 🥹❤️

We got him into our care as quickly as possible, and thankfully, he has a GREAT appetite! Unfortunately, he’s also dealing with severe ear infections, skin infections, and possible parasites.

🙏 WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Another unexpected rescue means more unexpected vet bills. We couldn’t turn our backs on this sweet boy, but we desperately need donations to help cover his medical care.

🐾❤️ TUESDAY: LET’S TALK ABOUT IT! ❤️🐾

It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time for another important conversation here at Little Whiskers Animal Rescue! 🐱🐶

Every Tuesday, we’re discussing topics that help educate animal lovers, answer questions, and hopefully change a few lives along the way!

🚨 TODAY’S TOPIC: WHY DO PEOPLE OVERLOOK ADULT & SENIOR ANIMALS?! 🚨

We see it ALL THE TIME in rescue.

A litter of adorable kittens or puppies comes along, and everyone wants one! But sitting quietly in the background are the adult and senior animals who are just as deserving of a loving home. 💔

🐾 DID YOU KNOW?

❤️ 1. Their personalities are already developed!

With adult animals, you often have a better idea of their temperament, energy level, and personality before bringing them home.

🐾 2. Many are already trained!

Some adult dogs are house-trained, and many adult cats are already comfortable using a litter box!

❤️ 3. They’re often past the wild baby stage!

Not everyone wants the sleepless nights, chewed-up shoes, or curtains turned into climbing walls! 😂

🐾 4. Senior animals still have SO much love to give!

Just because an animal is older doesn’t mean their best days are behind them. Some of the most incredible bonds happen when someone gives an older animal a second chance. 🥹❤️

❤️ 5. They deserve a family, too!

Some have lost their homes through no fault of their own. Their owners passed away, families moved, or life circumstances changed.

They didn’t stop being wonderful companions. They simply lost the place they called home. 💔

🐱 HERE’S SOMETHING WE WISH MORE PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD…

An 8-year-old cat isn’t broken.

A 10-year-old dog isn’t worthless.

And a senior animal isn’t any less deserving of love because their time with you may be shorter.

Sometimes the ones who have waited the longest have the most love to give. ❤️

🐾❤️ SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT: MEET THE RESCUE! ❤️🐾

This Saturday, we’re introducing you to two of the amazing people behind Little Whiskers Animal Rescue — Jenn & Mike! 🐱💕

Jenn and Mike have been part of the Little Whiskers family since 2021! Not only are they two of our incredible fosters, but they also serve on our Board of Directors!

🍼 Jenn is one of our main bottle feeders! She’s the one answering those tiny cries at 2 AM, warming bottles, changing bedding, and making sure our tiniest, most vulnerable babies have a fighting chance. With countless sleepless nights, endless bottles, and LOTS of caffeine ☕😂, she somehow keeps going day after day!

😴 Mike, on the other hand, is our PROFESSIONAL KITTEN CUDDLER! 🏆🐈 If there’s a kitten in the house, chances are you’ll find it curled up on Mike, tucked into his arms, or sleeping right alongside him. As you can see from the pictures, he’s clearly mastered the art of being a human cat bed! 😂❤️

Together, these two open their home, their hearts, and apparently every available sleeping surface to the animals who need them most.

Fostering isn’t always easy. It’s messy, exhausting, emotional, and sometimes heartbreaking. But it’s also filled with tiny milestones, happy endings, and unconditional love.

For five years, Jenn and Mike have continued showing up for the animals of our community, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have them on our team! ❤️
