Every single kitten season, we see an overwhelming number of sick kittens come through rescue… but it never gets easier to see. 💔
This little guy is one of our newest intakes. Despite everything he’s going through, he is SO spunky and full of fight, and we truly believe he’s going to turn things around. 🐾
Unfortunately, this is something we see far too often. He was born to a community cat and is just 1 out of 10 kittens we are currently trying to locate from the same area. Illness spreads quickly in outdoor cat communities, especially as temperatures rise. Diseases, infections, parasites, and viruses can easily spread through neighborhoods even putting owned pets at risk simply by exposure in your yard or environment.
This photo is AFTER warm soaks, gentle cleaning, and care. Imagine the condition he was in before. 😞
The hotter it gets, the worse these cases become. Tiny kittens dehydrate fast, infections worsen quickly, and many don’t survive without intervention. This is why spay/neuter is so incredibly important. Preventing just one litter can prevent so much suffering.
Please keep this little one in your thoughts while we continue searching for the rest of the kittens and doing everything we can to help them. 🧡
