Please make sure to keep an eye on the weather today as it is looking a bit unpredictable.

Expect explosive thunderstorm development near or just east of I-39 around 4-5 PM. These storms are likely to evolve into intense supercell thunderstorms moving east into the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs, including eastern and northeastern Illinois, northwestern Indiana, and southwestern Michigan. A few tornadoes, some possibly strong, are likely due to the robust dynamics in the area. Additionally, expect very large hail, potentially as big as baseballs, and damaging winds exceeding 75 mph. Please stay tuned for later updates and watches throughout the day. .

April 26th @ 10am our annual ERC spring cleaning day will begin! Boarders- your spouses and kids welcome 🙂 Time to tackle the cob webs and get ready for spring! We will provide lunch. We can’t wait to welcome warm weather with a squeaky clean barn!

High winds this morning thru Thursday morning... 💨

A potent storm system moving through the region will bring a period of high wind across the state from this morning through Thursday morning. Peak high wind gust of 40-55MPH will be likely across the state during this time!

Looks like it should be staying south of us,but keep an eye on the potentially sever weather on Friday.

Storm Prediction Center has issued an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms on Friday evening from Moline to La Salle to Gilman and south/west of that line. A slight risk for severe weather exists across ALL of the state of Illinois.

Main risk will be damaging/destructive winds with some tornadoes possible. Most likely storm mode will be a linear "QLCS" with winds over 70 MPH, embedded spin up tornadoes, and small hail. Some areas may even experience little or no lightning with these storms. Timing looks to be late afternoon (3p-7p) across southwest Illinois, mid-evening (6p-10p) across central Illinois, and late evening toward the Chicago metro (9p-2a).
