🌩️ Staying Safe in This Stormy Weather at ERC Farms 🐴🌾
Storms may roll through tomorrow June 17th, but safety always comes first at ERC Farms. A few reminders for everyone spending time at the barn:
⚡ If you hear thunder, head inside immediately. Lightning can strike miles away from the storm. Avoid open fields, fences, and metal gates.
🐴 Keep horses safely in their stalls or designated shelter areas. Secure barn doors and check that all gates and latches are properly fastened.
🚜 Secure loose equipment and outdoor items. Buckets, jumps, wheelbarrows, and tools can become dangerous in high winds.
🌧️ Avoid flooded areas. Never walk, ride, or drive through standing water, as conditions underneath may be unsafe.
🌪️ Know your shelter location. If severe weather warnings are issued stay away from windows and exterior doors. Interior rooms provide the best protection.
📱 Stay weather aware. Keep your phone charged and pay attention to alerts BEFORE heading to the farm.
Most importantly, remember that lessons, rides, and visits can wait.
From all of us at ERC Farms, stay dry, stay smart, and take care of one another until the sunshine returns. We will make sure your best friend is safe in the barn❤️🐴
