Hey everyone,
I’m so sorry for the delay in updating you on baby Tofu! The reason is that my phone died while I was leaving the Marana vet yesterday. With all the sick babies, I apparently put my dead phone in a reusable bag and brought it home after the vet visit.
But when I looked for it later, the bag was empty—at least, the bag I thought I had put it in was empty. So, all the madness you feel when you lose your phone was just the icing on the cake yesterday. So, long story short, I didn’t know where it went, but we finally found the phone tonight after several people have been looking for it on and off all day today. 😛❤️
Now, let’s catch up on the updates and messages for baby Tofu.
First, I want to send a huge thank you to everyone who donated towards his care yesterday at the Marana vet. This community is amazing, and you all came through for him and his brothers.
We were able to get the funding we needed to get him and his three other siblings treated at the Marana vet yesterday, so thank you to all who donated and shared our post. The outpouring of love we felt yesterday was truly amazing, and we are truly grateful for all of you and your support.
With that being said, the babies are doing so much better. Baby Tofu was the worst of them all. He had a very low body temperature of 96° at the vet yesterday, and his leg was very swollen with pus draining out of it on and off.
Once we were seen, they were able to drain his leg and give him an injection of antibiotics. What felt like the longest morning with him crying and so uncomfortable, well, it was almost immediately that he was acting better. I’m sure he felt instant relief after the vet examination because he was purring minutes later and wanting to eat a bottle. So, he will rechecked in a few days unless he worsens, but at this time, we are on antibiotics, eating again, and lots of purrs and kisses. 😘
We’ll keep you in the loop about Baby Tofu and his siblings as the weeks roll on and they get healthier.
