Every long-distance trip with our dogs looks the same (whether we’re heading to a top stud for a breeding or chasing titles at a big show): audiobook on full blast and me grinning at my wife saying,
“Can you imagine how educated our dogs are getting? Hours and hours of epic adventure stories, jungle expeditions, mountain climbs, spy thrillers… the kind of stuff that keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole drive.”
At this rate I’m half-convinced one day I’ll open the crate and one of the dogs will look up and go:
“Dad… that part where they barely escaped the ice cave… can we talk about risk assessment?”
Our dogs have probably logged more high-stakes adventure hours than most humans 😂🐾🔥
Safe to say they’re the most well-read passengers on I-94!
Our latest trip was a 50-hour round-trip to New Jersey to breed our female to an outstanding male – 4 full audiobooks consumed, zero spoilers (they’re excellent listeners).
Puppies due ~January 20, 2026 – clearly arriving ready for their own epic journey.
Safe holiday travel to all of you and your four-legged co-pilots! 🚗📚🐾
