PUPDATE: Hazey in Nebraska doing what she’s bred to do!! Here’s what her owner Scott had to say about her!!

“Another fun day. She did so good! She found my downed third bird in a phragmite patch that was next to impossible to get through. Don’t think many experienced dogs would have retrieved that bird!”

Thanks for the update Scott!!

🔥 WILDFIRE KENNELS YOUTH GIVEAWAY! 🔥

With Iowa’s youth pheasant season kicking off this weekend, I thought it was only fitting to do another giveaway!

This one is going to be EASY, and we’re giving TWO kids some Wildfire Kennels gear!

🏆 Winner #1: Wildfire Kennels T-Shirt + Stickers

🏆 Winner #2: Wildfire Kennels Hat + Stickers

HOW TO ENTER:

Drop a picture in the comments of your kid or kids enjoying the uplands and comment their names and ages! (Doesn’t have to just be in Iowa)

That’s it! No birds required, no limits needed, and no trophies necessary. Just get those kids outside, let them make some memories, and enjoy everything the uplands have to offer!

Don’t have a picture yet? No worries! You’ve got plenty of time!

Feel free to keep dropping new pictures throughout the season. We love seeing the next generation of upland hunters getting after it!

👊 Tag your buddies with kids so they can get in on the fun too!

We’ll draw TWO winners at the END of November!

The future of upland hunting starts with getting the next generation involved. Whether it’s their first hunt, their first bird, or just their first time tagging along behind a bird dog, those are the memories that last a lifetime.

Let’s see those future upland hunters! 🔥

If it wasn’t filmed did it really happen??

But for real I really believe avian predators do more damage to our wild birds than people realize. I’ve seen them dive bomb pheasants before. Never seen them be successful but they definitely will roll them. This was a first seeing them on quail. I just shut my video off right before he swooped down ontop. Looked around for a bit and finished out my rows which was another 100 yards or so and pushed it out right to the creek. Hated to see it happen but would have been cool to catch on video.

One of the most common questions we get asked is how are our dogs around children!! It’s a valid question!! As a customer looking for a puppy I 100% want to know if these dogs are able to be a household companion with children!!

One of my favorite parts of raising dogs is the fact that I get to raise the dogs right along side of my kids! It can be a fight on who gets to help feed them everyday, but we wouldn’t change that for anything!!

For our future puppy customers we are always 100% transparent with everyone. We want you to know exactly what you are getting! If a kid friendly puppy is a must, I hope this video helps ease your mind! These guys are not only dynamite in the field, but can come home and get loved on with the best of them!

Those last minute trips can definitely turn out to be epic memories! Was able to knock off the greater prairie chicken off my bucket list. The amount of birds we seen was incredible. Lots of points, retrieves, and a few young dogs learning the ropes. We had awesome weather which the dogs and i appreciated!

Along the way we come across a lady from Texas hunting by herself and trying to tend to her pup who got tore up in barbwire. We were able to assist her with a few staples and she was going to head to the next state chasing her dog around! Props to her! And glad to help. I’ve only done that multiple times a year to my dogs 🤦‍♂️

Was also coincidentally staying at the same campground as one of our puppy customers and was able to hunt with them for a day and a half!! Was awesome to watch one of our pups tearing up the field and retrieving a couple birds right in front of me!!

Carrying a camera in the field has become one of my favorite things!! I truly enjoy carrying a gun but capturing these dogs in action as well as when the long grind finally pays off is pretty special! I still have no clue what Iam doing (self taught) but it’s still fun anyway!
