Lots of climbing on this one! Rocky terrain too! Happy with how it went! Looking forward to my road half later this month - should feel like a piece of cake! (But I won't have my helper for that one!)

Taking a rest day! Tomorrow we both will complete our longest TRAIL run - A Half Marathon. It's been a while since Shadow has run that distance, but we did two 10+ mile trail runs in training and she did great.

Her longest run ever was 19 miles.

We joined up with another NACC meet-up and had a blast running on new trails! We did about 5 miles with the group, then did an additional 5 on our own - Shadow will be joining me for a half- marathon trail race next month so we are working on her higher mileage runs.

Went to our first North American Canine Cross meet-up! As always, Shadow was a bullet out of the gate but soon slowed down as she settled in and got tired. Still working off that baby weight and rebuilding her endurance.

As for me, legs felt great, even though it was a short 3.5 miles, but was happy to get out of the 13.2 miles I had tentatively earmarked for this weekend.
