We had a wonderful day yesterday at Meadowind Farm/Azariah Miniatures. A week ago I was contacted by a "Production Company" asking if they could come to our farm and film a Documentary/Reality TV show about how I choose a miniature horse for therapy work, how I raise them, train them, get them used to scary things and prep them... We spent all day yesterday with the "crew" interviewing on camera, filming our horses interacting with one of our our KPETS handlers children and the crew, we conducted a group evaluation in our barn and on Monday we will head to a local Retirement Village to do an actual visit where they will film the visit and interview employees finding out how the visits impact their residents! The day was pretty amazing as it was incredible to hear each of the handlers describe their experiences and what impact they have seen on others, challenges and heartwarming experiences. It was also quite fun to watch the producers and others that came to watch get emotional as the true impact of what our little horses can do touched their hearts The program, part of the series called "Helping Hooves" will be aired probably mid February on Horse.TV. Trailers will be out in a few weeks... watch for them! Our Miniature Therapy portion will probably be two episodes. I am thrilled and quite honored to be able to share the absolute joy our miniature horses are and how they have impacted the lives of many! My genuine thanks to KPETS for referring them to me and the many folks who helped pull this all together in a weeks time, was no small feat!!!
