Noah's Bark Dog Rescue We help homeless pets find their furever homes. Serving the South Bay of Los Angeles County, CA. We are an all breed rescue.

Noah's Bark is committed to finding permanent and happy homes for the unwanted and homeless pets in our community. Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. Some dogs come to us as strays, but the majority come from LA area shelters, all of which are HIGH KILL shelters. We often rescue the most broken and pitiful dogs from

these shelters, the ones that would have little to no chance of being adopted by the public. We give these dogs a second chance at a new and loving life. Noah’s Bark was founded in 1997 by Lila Hemmingway. It is now run by Shelly Gomez, a dedicated animal advocate. Shelly was there in the beginning with Lila when the organization was first founded. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter where all of the rescues are centrally housed. Dedicated volunteers provide foster homes while our rescues await their forever homes. Noelle is just stopping in to say hi! This sweet girl is still available for adoption and it’s just crazy to us that she hasn’t been adopted yet! She’s been with NB since December 2025! That’s nearly 6 months. We just don’t get it! She’s a great little dog! She’s chill, she’s affectionate, she’s housebroken, she’s fine with other dogs, she’s adorable! What more can you ask for?
Hopefully, some day soon, sweet Noelle will find her forever home!

Can you believe Trixie and Vixie are 3 months old!! They are likely some sort of terrier/chihuahua mixes, we were told mom was a terrier(that had run away and the owners turned the litter of pups into the shelter when they were just 1 week old) when we rescued the whole litter. We have had these pups since they were just tiny little bottlefeeder pups.
Our girls are growing up! And are ready to start their own adventures!

Trixie (R) and Vixie (Middle) are available for adoption. They are such sweet girls and have wonderful personalities! They are great with other dogs and cats too and they absolutely adore people. We love them so much but we can’t keep them all so we’re looking for families that would love our little girls as much as we do! Maybe that’s you!!

Saturday shenanigans! The Retro Pups (only Trixie and Vixie are available for adoption) have great dog social skills because of their foster brother, Nico. Even though this litter of pups were bottle fed since a week old and didn’t have a mom to teach them all of the things dogs need to know, Nico stepped up and has made them into wonderful little pups! He’s a great boy but even more than that, he helps us raise our foster pups and teaches them the ropes!

Look at Trixie (L) and Vixie (R)! They are 11 weeks old today! We honestly can’t believe they are still available for adoption! They are our twin girls (fraternal, obviously 😂) from our Retro Pups. They are super sweet pups and will stay small.

Trixie is our little girl with the all brown head. She is a tad taller (and just a little bigger) that her sister. She is super loving and a tad on the submissive side. She rolls over on her back for pets all of the time. She gently kisses you and loves being held. She is a total sweetheart!

Vixie is the little sister, she has always been the smallest in the litter. She has made up for her small stature with her huge personality! She loves to play and doesn’t back down from any nonsense her sibling throw her way. She loves to give kisses when you carry her around and then the second you put her down she runs zoomies! She thinks she going pretty fast but she has the shortest little legs and it’s the most hilarious thing! She is just a sassy, silly little girl!

Both Trixie and Vixie are available for adoption now! We will not adopt them out together. You know, sisters! Ugh! They are great with other dogs and cats though and will make amazing little companions! We believe they will be 10 pounds or less as adults. But there are no guarantees on size.

She has the cutest little stubby legs and a longer body. She’s a a little girl with a big personality! She loves other dogs and is fine with cats too!

Saydee’s foster dad just told her mid toy session that Starbucks was in fact for people and that Pup Cups came later. Obviously, Saydee was NOT amused! 😂

Saydee is 8 years young and is living it up! She’s a chill girl but loves to go on outings! She’s great with other dogs and is ready for adoption now!
