Celebrating the Veterinary Assistants of Interstate Vet Clinic!
As Veterinary Technician Week came to a close, we also want to take the time to recognize the incredible staff who are vital to the success of our clinic!
These ladies play a crucial role in patient care, supporting our veterinarians and clients, assisting with procedures, and keeping the clinic running smoothly. Their hard work, compassion, and dedication certainly don’t go unnoticed, and they deserve some recognition of their own!
Meet the ladies behind the scenes:
Kourtney
Kourtney grew up on a registered Angus cattle operation in St. Anthony, ND, and attended South Dakota State University, where she studied Animal Science with an emphasis in seedstock operations and a minor in Agricultural Business.
Kourtney wears more than one hat at Interstate Vet Clinic! In addition to assisting with patient care both in the clinic and on the farm, she serves as our practice manager. She truly is the glue that holds our clinic together! From keeping daily operations organized to supporting our entire team, Kourtney is an invaluable part of Interstate Vet Clinic.
When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her helping on the family ranch, attending cattle shows, or spending time with family and friends!
Izzy
As our longest-employed team member, Izzy has become a familiar face and an important part of Interstate Vet Clinic!
With five years of experience in veterinary medicine, Izzy has a particular passion for the surgical side of veterinary care. Whether she’s working with small animals, large animals, or exotics, she loves that there’s always something new to learn in this field!
Before entering veterinary medicine, Izzy pursued education in emergency medical services. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors!
Sydney
Sydney is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science Business, with a special focus and passion for equine reproduction!
One of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine is the technical and scientific side of patient care. She loves understanding how the animal body works and, more importantly, learning the why behind the medicine and procedures we perform every day!
Her curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion for learning are wonderful qualities to have on our team!
Kashtyn
Kashtyn is currently attending Bismarck State College, where she is studying Ranch Operations. And here’s a fun fact you might not expect — she’s also a collegiate wrestler at BSC!
Kashtyn enjoys veterinary medicine because it allows her to be involved in animals’ lives while continuously learning more about them. Her love for animals and eagerness to learn make her a great addition to our team!
Lauren
Lauren brings four years of previous experience as a veterinary assistant to our team! Interestingly enough, it was her experience assisting with canine and feline dental procedures that first sparked her interest in pursuing a career in the dental field!
What Lauren loves most about veterinary medicine is the compassion and connection that comes with caring for animals. Her genuine love for animals and compassionate approach to patient care make her a wonderful part of our team!
It takes an entire team to provide exceptional veterinary care.
Kourtney, Izzy, Sydney, Kashtyn, and Lauren — THANK YOU for everything you do for our patients, our clients, and Interstate Vet Clinic! We appreciate you ladies!
