🦓 ONE YEAR AGO, TENNESSEE’S MOST FAMOUS ZEBRA WAS ON THE RUN! 🦓

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since Ed was roaming the farm land of Christiana, Tennessee. What started as a search for a runaway zebra turned into a life-changing moment for me and Volunteer Drone Services.

That search introduced thousands of people to thermal drone technology and showed what these drones are truly capable of. Looking back, it was one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever been a part of.

A year later, Ed’s story is still talked about across Tennessee—and from everything I know, he’s still living the dream. 🦓

WELCOME HOME ARLO 🩷🐾

This 5+ year old German Shepherd was accidentally let out and ended up going on one wild adventure. After searching several other areas, we finally received a random AirTag ping. The second that notification came through, we headed straight to it.

Coming down a dead end road… there she was.

The moment she saw us she turned and ran, but she couldn’t outrun the drone! After being missing for 4 days and traveling over 3 miles from home, bringing her home truly felt like an absolute miracle.

Covered in ticks and exhausted from her “wild vacation,” Arlo finally got the bath she deserved and is now resting comfortably back where she belongs.

Another happy reunion made possible with persistence, technology, and a little bit of luck. Welcome home girl! 🐕❤️

In honor of upcoming Memorial Day, I wanted to share an unforgettable moment from a herd analysis. While flying, I spotted this beautiful bald eagle resting in her nest. Just by coincidence, “Born Free” was playing at that exact moment. 🇺🇸🦅

A powerful reminder of the freedom we have because of the brave men and women who gave their lives for this country. Thank you to all our fallen soldiers! You will never be forgotten.

As Memorial Day weekend approaches, please remember to keep your pets indoors during fireworks and celebrations. And if the worst happens… you know who to call.

Throwback to one of the dogs that truly helped start it all… Finn. 🐾

Last year, Finn went missing for over a day and his family was devastated. After getting to work, we were able to locate him and bring him back home where he belonged. Moments like that are what built Volunteer Drone Services into what it is today.

Finn was one of the very first success stories that showed me just how much these searches matter. His recovery will always hold a special place with me.

Sadly, Finn has now crossed the rainbow bridge, but he was able to leave this world surrounded by an amazing family that loved him endlessly.

Rest easy big guy. Thank you for being part of the start of this journey. ❤️🌈

Welcome Home Simba! 🐾

Simba went missing Friday alongside the family’s rescue beagle, who stayed in full hunt mode and wouldn’t come to anyone. An attempt was made to catch him, but he wasn’t having it. With multiple sightings Friday and Saturday, we were able to lock in a solid area and get to work.

Today, a homeowner mentioned hearing the beagle actively hunting — a huge help in confirming they were still nearby. Not long after, Simba was located nearly 3 miles from home across rough, hilly terrain.

Unlike his buddy, Simba was more than ready to be home. As soon as he saw his family, he ran straight to them — tail wagging the whole way.

Now he’s safe and equipped with his new Fi Mini GPS Dog Tracker so next time, they’ll know exactly where he is.

Welcome home Millie! 🐾

This 5–10 lb dachshund went missing after getting spooked during a scuffle with a neighbor’s dog. About 1.5 hours into the search, I found her making her way back home didn’t catch it on footage, but we got the reunion!

That’s 2 for 2 on finding pups named Millie… I’ll take it! Glad she’s safe and back home where she belongs.
