🐕 Keep Your Pups Safe This 4th of July! 🎆
Independence Day is fun for us, but the loud booms and bright flashes can be terrifying for our dogs. More dogs go missing on the 4th of July than any other day of the year, so preparation is key!
Here is how you can keep your pups safe and calm:
🏠 Stay Indoors: Keep your dogs inside a secure, quiet room. Close the windows and blinds to muffle the sounds and block out the flashes.
🎶 Drown out the Noise: Turn on a TV, fan, or some calming music to help mask the sound of the fireworks.
🔒 Secure the Perimeter: Double-check that your yard fences and gates are locked tight. Panicked dogs can easily jump fences they normally wouldn't.
🏷️ Update ID Tags: Make sure collars are on and microchips or tags have your current phone number, just in case.
🏃♂️ Exercise Early: Take them for a long walk or have a good play session earlier in the day so they are tired out before the noise starts.
Let’s make sure it’s a happy and safe holiday for our four-legged family members! How does your dog handle the fireworks? 👇
