What is Leptospirosis and why should I vaccinate my dog for it?
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease caused by bacteria of the genus Leptospira. It can infect humans, domestic animals, and wildlife. The bacteria are found in and spread by the urine of infected animals such as rats, mice, cows, pigs, and dogs.

Leptospirosis in dogs is preventable with an annual vaccine.
This vaccine is most commonly paired with the distemper vaccine; Da2ppL

β€’ Red, inflamed, or irritated skin β€” may be sensitive or hot to the touch
β€’ Open sores, scabs, or crusts β€” can indicate infection or severe irritation
