Lyme disease is a serious illness spread by ticks and is commonly seen in Michigan.

Symptoms in pets may include:

The best protection against Lyme disease is prevention:

Ticks transmit illnesses such as Lyme disease, as well as other diseases like anaplasmosis and ehrlichia. While fleas can cause skin irritation, allergies, and even spread intestinal parasites like tapeworms.

Prevention is the best protection! Keeping your pet on a veterinarian-recommended flea and tick preventative year-round helps keep them healthy, comfortable, and protected.

🚨Important Announcement Regarding Our Boarding Facility🚨

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our boarding facility effective June 1st.

This was not a decision we made lightly. We carefully explored different options to continue offering boarding services, however, we have ultimately decided to focus our time, staff, and resources solely on providing the best possible medical care for our patients at this time.

We are incredibly grateful to all of the families who trusted us with their beloved pets over the years. Our staff has created so many special bonds — not only with the pets in our care, but with their families as well. It has truly been a privilege to be a part of your pets’ lives while you were away, and these relationships are something we will always cherish.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued trust in our hospital. While this chapter is coming to an end, we look forward to continuing to care for your pets’ medical needs for many years to come. ❤️
