2/19/26- thanks to a generous donations, we will be working on getting a thermal drone back out to search for Kenyai and Panda🙏🐾❤️

🐾Kenyai and Panda update🐾
Rollover accident 1/16/26 at southbound I75 mile marker 260, Crawford County.

Last confirmed sighting Kenyai and we do continue to have 2 sets of tracks regularly traveling together.

💔It was a very disappointing day Tuesday for these dogs. For the past several weeks Crawford County Animal Control - Grayling, Michigan and myself have been trying to create a “safe place/comfort zone” for them. These dogs are possibly injured and absolutely terrified. When setting out food stations and cameras they would move away from human scent.
Many steps were altered to try and inch them into trust. Tuesday 2/17/26 a kind, untrained person has changed the weeks of work by following their tracks all over their safe spot. Their challenges have been the freeway, an aggressive pack of coyotes, fear of humans and vehicles. They are now pushed out of the safe area and left to try and find shelter with this bad weather.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY AND FOLLOW AND TRACK! Please report any sighting to myself or Moore’s 231-384'3821. Now we must to try and locate them again and try rebuilding the trust to lure them in. I am very concerned about their safely as they are pushed further from a safe area into a highly populated area of coyotes during mating season.
To the person that intentionally went out there to attempt to be "a superhero". Please remember I have camera's all over and I have been told who you are. Please don't risk the lives of these lost dog's!

Whoever thinks trapping these 2 would be a easy task has no clue about these dogs. Due to Panda's history she was absolutely terrified of vehicles before this accident and Kenyai is a strong independent male that enjoys his freedom.

Please continue to watch for them, check your security camera's any possible tracks or sighting's please text or call 24/7 231-384-3821.

If you see either of these dogs PLEASE DO NOT chase, follow, yell out to either or post their location. Please call Animal Control, message your sighting here or call or message Moore's Lost K9 Search & Recovery 231-384-3821.

Please keep Kenyai, Panda and their families in your prayer's during this difficult time🙏🐾❤️

We are in need of donations to help bring these dogs in safely.

Last night Crawford County Animal Control - Grayling, Michigan, Great Lakes Drone Company LLC and myself spent several hours searching for Keynai and Panda. Unfortunately, the thermal drone search was unsuccessful at locating the two dogs. Huge thank you to Mike from Great Lakes Drone Company for driving 4 hours during horrible weather to help with the search. I can't thank Crawford County Animal Control-Kari for going above and beyond to help these dogs. Huge thank you to Joell Gabriel for going out on her snowmobile searching areas that can't be checked by vehicles and walking. Thank you to everyone that has donated to the family's Go Fund Me and the donations that were sent directly to us.

There have been zero sightings since late Saturday evening/early Sunday morning. Panda was reported heading East on snowmobile trail 47. Keynai was seen along I-75 near the 259 exit.

The plea continues to everyone to check your cameras, out buildings, under your old trailer or boat, look for foot prints in your yard, around your bird feeder, anywhere and everywhere!

We are uncertain if either dog has any life threatening injury as the vehicle rolled twice before the window shattered and all 3 dogs bolted.

Please call with any sightings or dog tracks reach out to Moore's Lost K9 Search & Recovery 231-384-3821 or Crawford County Animal Control at 989-344-3273.

We will continue to search the area in hopes they are just hunkered down during this cold front.

Please keep Panda & Keynai's family in your prayer's as they work on travel arrangements to get back to Florida.

Update 1/21/26 11:30am: No confirmed sightings of either dog since seen near accident site between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. There were tracks near the DNR offices Sunday morning. Traps, food and cameras were immediately set. Unfortunately neither dog has been seen and no current fresh tracks. Owner's, Crawford County Animal Control, Crawford County Sherriff Department, Grayling Police Department local State Trooper's continue to search for the dogs. At this point they could have moved further from the accident site searching for food and shelter. Please continue to watch for them, check your security camera's any possible tracks or sighting's please text or call 231-384-3821 24/7. Owner is still working on getting a thermal drone out once the special permits have been obtained (please remember that Camp Grayling has different permits and restrictions when it comes to drones.

Mile marker 260 Crawford County MI
Thermal drone was out without success last night, tried again today and due to federal airspace permits the drone is not able to continue without permits.

2 dogs are still at large following a Rollover accident on 1/16/26. I will be setting trap

The larger male brindle was seen multiple times Saturday along the freeway. The white with black female has not been seen since early Saturday morning.

A kind hearted local resident Niki Pallas has started a fundraiser for thermal drone services. She has already hired a service that looked last night with no luck. Today he will fly the area again in hopes of seeing the two dogs.

If either of these dogs are seen PLEASE DO NOT chase, follow, yell out to either or post their location. Please call Animal Control, message your sighting here or call or message Moore's Lost K9 Search & Recovery 231-384-3821.

Update on Fabio…. Fabio is a doodle that was at large for several months through several counties before being live trapped and lodged at the Kalkaska Animal Control/Shelter. Fabio is NOT AVAILABLE for adoption at this time. Fabio’s state mandated stray hold has now expired, and he legally has become custody of Kalkaska Animal Control /Shelter. There has been lots of talk of where is Fabio’s owners/family. During Fabio’s several months of adventures through several counties, no family has came forward to claim the dog. ACO’s have followed up on several reports of missing dogs and none exactly match Fabio’s description. What we do know is that Fabio is a doodle of some sorts. He is an intact male, 1 yr old, no microchips detected, no collar/no ID. Fabio is NOT AVAILABLE for adoption at this time. We are getting people commenting that they ‘Want To Adopt’ on Facebook. We do not respond to these comments and request you contact Kalkaska Animal Control/Shelter by phone, (231)258-3309. Please leave a detailed message, ALL CALLS needing returned are returned when staff is available. We do not do online applications. You must call the shelter directly and get put on Fabio’s waiting to adopt list if you’re interested. At this time we do not know what his specific needs will be. We are certain during the next week or so we are gonna start seeing his true personality as he feels much better after his groom, getting regular meals, and a warm, clean, soft bed.

It's a Boy and not microchipped!!🙏🐾💙

After a huge team effort with Kalkaska Animal Control/Shelter and Crawford County Animal Control - Grayling, Michigan the at large doodle has been safely trapped!!!! The doodle will be housed at Kalkaska Animal Control. Carrie (property owner where trapped) thank you for allowing us to invade your pole barn.

Once the dog has decompressed it will be scanned for a microchip and determine whether male or female (due to extreme matting the s*x of the dog is undetermined).

I would like to thank everyone that called in sighting's during this multi county tracking & trapping adventure and to all of the property owner's that allowed Animal Control and Moore's Lost K9 Search and Recovery to set traps, food stations and camera's on their property. Grand Traverse County Animal Control for all the efforts.

It takes multiple people to safely trap a dog like this doodle.

I would also give a huge shout out to Stephanie- Kalkaska County Animal Control and Kari- Crawford County Animal Control for always going above and beyond to safely and quickly contain lost dog's on the run. The countless hours these two put in on this doodle does not go unnoticed! I am blessed to be part of the team with these amazing ladies!

Stray Doodle
Black with white
Currently running between Kalkaska County and Crawford County.

I want to be very clear, Moore's Lost K9 Search and Recovery will not allow bashing of any Animal Control Officer!!! There is a lot of work that goes on to contain a dog like this doodle before a trap can even be set. This doodle has not made trapping easy for anyone that has been involved. Please have patience and keep this dog in your prayer's.

Moore's Lost K9 Search and Recovery are actively assisting Kalkaska and Crawford County Animal Control in safely containing this dog.

TRAPS HAVE BEEN SET🙏🐾❤️

PLEASE IF YOU SEE THIS DOG IGNORE IT!!! Do not stop cars and call out to it, this will continue to drive the dog away from this area. DO NOT POST SIGHTINGS PUBLICLY !!! Please just call/text 231-384-3821 orDM us so we can safely capture this poor dog!!!

Trapping a dog does not happen immediately, you must gain trust, then trap!!! This dog is not just going to come to a human, it is in survival mode!!! Please help us help the dog by just calling in sightings!!!!

LOST DOG ALERT 🚨
Please keep your eyes peeled and report ANY and all sightings to your local animal control or message me directly.

💙Kelcie update💙

Kelcie continues to adjust well with my pack. He loves playing with mini soccer balls, he has figured out how to hit the ball with his cast💙

He will see Oakwood Veterinary Clinic on 11/25 for repeat x-rays. Praying his fracture has healed enough to be done with this cast🙏🐾💙

For those interested in adopting Kelcie, please message me directly. Unfortunately Pam amd her family has decided to not adopt him. Kelcie will require a fenced in yard, he would do great with another dog in the home. He is also good with cats.

Safely trapped after 10 days on the run

Arita went missing from her family's hunting cabin 10/28/25 after getting spooked, when her Dad returned from hunting. She has been safely trapped, I teamed up with Crawford County Animal Control - Grayling, Michigan to quickly and safely trap her. Her owner is driving back ip north to pick her up today.

Huge thank you to Jim-property that set food out for her and allowed trapping on his property🙏🐾🩷

Princess went missing from her family in the area of Emmet Street in Petoskey.

Today my amazing volunteer, went to the post office and ironically seen Princess. Patricia Olson immediately reached out to me asking what to do. I asked Patti to immediately leave food out for Princess and to go back home and grab a the trap. Patti immediately returned to the sighting location with the trap, but didn't see Princess. After looking around at the sighting location Patti immediately set the trap, though hesitant as she only had the largest trap with her and she was worried Princess didn't weigh enough to trigger the trap. I reassured her to continue as planned with setting the trap, even though she would need to check the trap every 1-2 hours as she did not have a camera with her.

Patti had the trap set by 2:45pm, then returned to check the trap a couple hours later, but Princess had not found it yet. While chatting I planned on driving up after taking care of chores with a camera for the trap.

Princess's Mom went and checked the trap at 6:15pm and Princess was safely trapped.

I am beyond blessed to have such an amazing volunteer that always go above and beyond for lost dogs.

Once again Patti, you ROCK!!!

🐾Kelcie update🐾

Kelcie was seen at Oakwood Veterinary Hospital yesterday for his left radius fracture. He was put under anesthesia, new xray were done, split removed and a cast was applied. Kelcie will need to be in a cast for at least 4-6 weeks, once his cast is removed his activities will be restricted for another 4-6 weeks while his fracture finishes healing. Kelcie is learning to be a dog again and making strides daily. During the next several weeks he will be provided with brain rest to allow his brain to finish healing.

Kelcie was able to meet Pam while I picked up trapping equipment. Pam and her husband Lesile spent several weeks helping with feed stations for Kelcie and helping with a more than 20+ skunks that were trapped and rehomed to allow Kelcie to eat.

I have been asked about long term placement for Kelcie. Once medically stable he will be able to go his potential adopter. We currently have one family that has been there helping Kelcie for months that is interested in adopting him🙏🐾💙

Please keep Kelcie in your prayer's as his healing continues🙏💙🐾

We are still in need of donations to cover his fracture care and be able to follow up on his abnormal blood work.
