🚨We have an urgent need🚨
WATER -PUMP FUNDRAISER

Our sanctuary is a loving home to many piggies, we are nestled off-grid with sustainable water catchment and solar power systems. We even grow our own food to nourish both humans and pigs! 🌱🐷

However, Maui is facing a drought, and our water pump recently broke down. Despite these challenges, we’re committed to providing our piggies with all they need, ensuring their pools and mud wallows remain full. I’ve personally been hauling in 200 gallons of water a day to fill our catchment tanks—just another thing to do each day. 💧

We’re hosting a fundraiser to help maintain and improve our sanctuary’s resilience by upgrading our catchment system with a new water pump,and a new filter so we have the cleanest water, possible as well as separate pump station. Your support will ensure that our piggies continue to thrive, even in tough times. Estimated cost including labor $2200 Every bit helps us keep our sanctuary running smoothly for our beloved residents. 🌻

While filming his new Netflix movie, Jason Momoa formed an unexpected bond—with a wild pig! The connection was instant, and the actor just couldn’t leave his new friend behind.

He ended up bringing the little pig home and named him Manapua (or Pua for short). Momoa shared the adorable journey on Instagram, joking about choosing between the names “Lau Lau” and “Manapua” before settling on the latter.

“This is why I can’t work with animals—I want to take them all home,” he laughed, adding that Pua is “wild and feral, just like his pops.”

Bring your kids to the Maui Pig Sanctuary for an "oink-tastic" experience. They’ll get to meet our clever, rescued pigs up close, learn fun facts about their intelligence, and hear inspiring stories of how these animals found their forever home. It’s the perfect way to have a hands-on, unforgettable day while teaching kids about compassion and kindness.

Our guided tours are every Sunday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and are a great way to support our all-volunteer non-profit.
